✨ Land Leases and Sales
JUNE 7.] THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE. 667
For a period of fourteen years from the date of the lease one-fourth of the rents will be handed over to the County Council or Road Board of the district, to be expended in the maintenance or construction of the roads leading to and opening up the land.
Intending purchasers must be prepared to hand to the auctioneer, on the fall of the hammer, a declaration signed and witnessed by a Justice of the Peace, as required by section 200 of “The Land Act, 1885.” In the event of any purchaser failing to produce the required declaration, the lot will be put up again and resold.
The first half-year’s rent, from the 1st September, 1888, to the 1st March, 1889, together with £1 1s. for the lease, must be paid at the sale.
General Description: These lands are situated close to the road from Frasertown to Lake Waikaremoana, and about ten miles from the former. Generally the soil is light; surface undulating, with small flats along the banks of streams; covered with high fern, tutu, and grass in parts; well watered, and a little bush for firewood in gullies.
