Mining Notices.
I, the undersigned, hereby make application to register
the Royal Gold-mining Company (Limited) as a
Limited Company, under the provisions of “The Mining
Companies Act, 1886.”

The name of the company is to be the Royal Gold-
mining Company (Limited). -
The place of intended operations is in Murray Creek
District, in the County of Inangahua, New Zealand. -
The registered office of the company will be in Tainui
Street, Greymouth. -
The nominal capital of the company is twenty-four
thousand pounds, in twenty-four thousand shares of one
pound each. -
The number of shares subscribed for is twenty-four
thousand. -
The number of paid-up shares is nil.

The amount of capital considered paid up is twelve
thousand pounds, being 10s. per share on twenty-four thou-
sand shares. -
The name of the Manager is George William Moss.

IN THE MATTER OF THE WAIHOU GOLD-MINING
COMPANY (LIMITED).
At an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named
company, duly convened and held at Christchurch on
the twenty-third day of April, one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-eight, the following special resolutions were
duly passed; and at a subsequent extraordinary general
meeting of the members of the said company, also duly con-
vened and held at the same place on the tenth day of May,
one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight, the following
resolutions were duly confirmed:—
“That the company be wound up voluntarily, under the
provisions of ‘The Companies Act, 1882.’”
“That Mr. F. H. Barnes be appointed sole Official
Liquidator.”
Dated this fourteenth day of May, one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-eight.

(LIMITED).
In pursuance of section 10 of “The Mining Companies
Act, 1886,” notice is hereby given that the above com-
pany will, for the purposes of this Act, carry on business at
the office of the mine, situated in Aylmer Street, Ross, New
Zealand.

THE DACRE’S FREEHOLD MINING COMPANY
(LIMITED.)
Notice is hereby given that at an extraordinary general
meeting of the Dacre’s Freehold Mining Company
(Limited), duly convened and held at the office of Messrs.
Whitaker and Russell, Auckland, on the 27th day of April,
1888, the subjoined special resolution was duly passed; and
at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the said
company, also duly convened and held at the same place on
the 14th day of May, 1888, the subjoined special resolution
was duly confirmed.
Resolution.
“That the company be wound up voluntarily under the
provisions of ‘The Companies Act, 1882.’”
At the said last-mentioned meeting it was also resolved
that Mr. H. N. GARLAND be appointed Liquidator.

NOTICE OF CONSTRUCTION OF BRANCH-RACE.
To the Mining Registrar at Kumara of the Kumara Mining
District, and all other persons whom it may concern.
Take notice that it is intended to construct a branch-
race, by means of 18in. iron piping, to divert water
from the Government water-race to R. Anderson and party’s
claim on Nardoo Flat. The length of the proposed race is
42 chains or thereabouts, and its intended course north and
south.

WELLINGTON CITY TRAMWAY.
In the matter of “The Tramways Act, 1872,” and in the
matter of an application intended to be made by the
Honourable Morgan Stanislaus Grace, of the City of Wel-
lington, Esquire, M.D., and M.L.C., and Robert Mackay
Greenfield, of the said city, Gentleman, the present pro-
prietors of the Wellington City Tramway, for an order
extending and varying the order made by the Superinten-
dent of the Province of Wellington for the construction of
the said tramway on the 29th June, 1876.
Notice is hereby given that at the expiration of thirty
days from the publication hereof application is in-
tended to be made to his Excellency the Governor of New
Zealand in Council for an order, under the provisions of
“The Tramways Act, 1872,” empowering us, the under-
signed the Honourable Morgan Stanislaus Grace, of the
City of Wellington, Esquire, M.D., and M.L.C., and Robert
Mackay Greenfield, of the said city, Gentleman, the present
proprietors of the Wellington City Tramway, to extend the
tramway authorised by and constructed under the provisions
of the order of the Superintendent of the Province of Wel-
ington, made on the 29th day of June, 1876, by the connec-
tion of that part of the tramway authorised by the said order
which lies at the corner of Manners Street and Cuba Street
with that part of the said tramway which lies at the corner
of Vivian Street and Cambridge Terrace by the line, with
necessary sidings, already constructed and now running
along Courtenay Place and Cambridge Terrace from one of
the said corners to the other of them; and by the extension
of the said tramway by the line, with necessary sidings,
already constructed and now running from the terminus of
the said tramway in Adelaide Road, as so authorised, at a
point at or near Drummond Street along Adelaide Road
aforesaid to its junction with Riddiford Street to the New-
town Hotel; and by the extension of the said tramway by a
line, with necessary sidings, already constructed and now
running from Grey Street southwardly along Featherston
Street to join the said tramway at Lambton Quay; and by
the extension of the said tramway by means of sidings
already constructed, and used at the following places, that
is to say,—
- In Riddiford Street, near Rintoul Street, and in the
