PURSUANT to the provisions of an Act of the General
Assembly of New Zealand, passed in the forty-fourth
year of the reign of Her Majesty Queen Victoria, and intituled
“The Marriage Act, 1880,” the following names of Officiat-
ing Ministers within the meaning of the said Act are pub-
lished for general information:—

Church of the Province of New Zealand, commonly called
the Church of England.

The Reverend Hugh Corrie Frere.

Roman Catholic Church.

The Reverend Thomas Gordon Dawson.

Notice to Occupiers of Runs, Westland District.

Hokitika, 16th May, 1888.

IN accordance with section 188 of “The Land Act, 1885,”
I hereby give notice that the runs enumerated in the
Schedule hereto will be declared forfeited if the amount of
rent due, together with the penalty for non-payment, are
not paid to the Receiver of Land Revenue, Hokitika, within
three months from the date of first insertion of this notice.

Sale of Runs and Reserves, Westland.

NOTICE is hereby given that, in terms of section 180 of
“The Land Act, 1885,” and of section 23 of “The
Public Reserves Act, 1881,” the lands enumerated below will
be submitted to public auction at the Land Office, Hokitika,
on Wednesday, the 20th June next, at 2 o’clock in the
afternoon.


SCHEDULE.

PASTORAL LANDS;—
Run No. 43: Makawiho River, containing 19,000 acres;
upset rental, £19 per annum; term, ten years from
the 1st March, 1889.
Run No. 20: Paringa River, containing 14,000 acres;
upset rental, £14 per annum; term, ten years from
the 1st September, 1889.
Reserve within Ross Municipality: Part of Reserve No
13, containing 2 acres 1 rood 24 perches; fixed annual rental
£1; term, seven years; valuation for improvements, £63 10s

IN accordance with section 173 of “The Land Act, 1885,”
I hereby give notice that the under-mentioned run,
which has been submitted for auction and not sold, will be
open for sale on application, at the upset annual rental,
after the 9th June next:—
Number of run, 16, Omoeroa River; area, 8,000 acres;
annual rental, £8; term, ten years.

Application for Rehearing of Claim granted.

NATIVE LAND COURT, NEW ZEALAND :
DISTRICT OF WHANGANUI.

IN the matter of a decision of the Court given during a
session opened at Whanganui, on the 14th day of
January, 1886, upon the hearing of a claim for the investi-
gation of title to land situate in the said district, and known
as Pokowharo; and in the matter of an application made
to this Court, in writing, within three months after such
decision was given, by Natives thinking themselves aggrieved
thereby, for a rehearing upon the aforesaid claim :
I, John Edwin Macdonald, Chief Judge of the said Court,
in exercise of the authority in that behalf vested in me, do
hereby order that a rehearing upon such claim be had on the
29th day of June next, at a sitting of the Court to be then
held at Whanganui, in the district aforesaid.
Dated this 23rd day of May, 1888.

was given, by Natives thinking themselves aggrieved thereby,
for a rehearing upon the aforesaid claim :
I, John Edwin Macdonald, Chief Judge of the said Court,
in exercise of the authority in that behalf vested in me, do
hereby order that a rehearing upon such claim be had on
the 21st day of June next, at a sitting of the Court to be then
held at New Plymouth, in the said district.
Dated this 15th day of May, 1888.
