ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this eighth day of May, 1888.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the twenty-fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby order and declare that the reserve made for public recreation in the Provincial District of Otago, and known as the Clyde Recreation-ground, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of “The Public Domains Act, 1881;” and such domain shall hereafter be managed, administered, and dealt with, in manner directed by the said Act, by the Domain Board constituted by an Order in Council issued on the tenth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and eighty.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, containing by admeasurement 36 acres, more or less, situate in the Township of Clyde, and being Blocks LVI. and LVII. of the said township. Bounded towards the north-west by Whitby Street 200 links, also by Bridlington Street 1200 links; towards the north-east by Stockton Street 2970 links, also by Sunderland Street 2100 links; towards the south-east by a street-line, 1540 links; and towards the south-west by Crown lands, 5250 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; and intersected by Stockton Street, 100 links wide.

Delegating Powers under “The Cemeteries Act, 1885,” to the Maniototo County Council.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this eighth day of May, 1888.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN exercise and pursuance of the powers vested in him by “The Cemeteries Act 1882 Amendment Act, 1885,” and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby delegate to the Maniototo County County the powers conferred upon him by section six of “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” as to the appointment and removal of Trustees for the cemeteries described in the Schedule hereto; and doth declare that this Order in Council shall take effect as from the first day of June next.

SCHEDULE.
ROCK AND PILLAR CEMETERY.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, containing by admeasurement 2 acres, more or less, situate in the Rock and Pillar District, and being Section No. 14, Block VII., of said district. Bounded towards the north-west by Section No. 13 of same block and district, 440 links; towards the north-east by same section, 454 links; towards the south-east by same section, 440 links; towards the south-west by same section, 454 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less, and intersected by a road-line 50 links wide.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, containing by admeasurement 32 perches, more or less, situate in the Rock and Pillar District, and being Section No. 15, Block VII., of said district. Bounded towards the north-west by Section No. 13 of same block and a road-line, 200 links; towards the north-east by same section, 100 links; towards the south-east by same section, 200 links; and towards the south-west by same section, 100 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
BLACKSTONE CEMETERY.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being Section No. 22, Block III., Blackstone Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by Section No. 2, said block and district, 387 links; towards the north-east by Section No. 2 aforesaid, 258 links; towards the south-east by Section No. 2 aforesaid and a road-line, 387 links; and towards the south-west by Section No. 2 aforesaid, 258 links: as the same is delineated on the plan in the Survey Office, Dunedin.
ST. BATHAN’S CEMETERY.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being Section No. 9, Block II., St. Bathan’s District. Bounded towards the north-east by Crown lands, 226½ links; towards the south-east by Crown lands, 441½ links; towards the south-west by Crown lands, 226½ links; and towards the north-west by Crown lands, 441½ links: as the same is delineated on the plan in the Survey Office, Dunedin.
HAMILTON CEMETERY.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, containing by admeasurement 5 acres, more or less, situate on the west side of Town Reserve, and marked “Cemetery Reserve” on the record map of the Town of Hamilton, deposited in the Survey Office, Dunedin.
HYDE CEMETERY.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, containing by admeasurement 10 acres, more or less, in the Town of Hyde, marked “Cemetery Reserve” on the record map of the said town, deposited in the Survey Office, Dunedin.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this first day of May, 1888.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a public work authorised to be constructed by the Government, to wit, the Cuvier Island Lighthouse:
And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native owners:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works, Act, 1882,” and the amendments thereof, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order that the Government work known as the Cuvier Island Lighthouse shall and may be constructed on the parcel of land more particularly mentioned in the Schedule hereto.
