SEADOWN WATER-SUPPLY.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the County
of Geraldine, for the purpose of constructing head-
works for irrigation purposes in the Seadown Water-supply
District, propose to take all that piece of land containing
1 acre 5 perches, situate in the Pareora Survey District,
being part of Rural Section 21122, commencing at a point on
the northern boundary of Rural Section 10454 963 links from
the north-east corner of the same, bounded as follows:
Southerly by a line, 100 links; westerly by a line, 1032·5
links; north-westerly by the Ophihi River, 110 links;
easterly by a line to commencing-point, 1019·5 links. And
also all that piece of land containing 4 acres 1 rood 39
perches, situate in the Pareora and Arowhenua Survey Dis-
tricts, being portions of Rural Sections 9854, 9855, and 15657,
commencing at the south-east corner of Rural Section 9855,
bounded as follows: Proceeding southerly by a line, 50 links;
thence westerly by a line, 1157·1 links; thence northerly by
a line, 1600·7 links; thence generally westerly by lines,
442·5, 245·4, 332·9, 289·7, 248·2, 772·7, 454, and 297·6 links
respectively; thence northerly along the western boundary
of Rural Section 9854, 107·3 links; thence generally easterly
by lines, 229·1, 488·4, 842·9, 241·4, 270·3, 317·9, 244·6, and
508·6 links respectively; thence southerly by a line, 1655·2
links; thence easterly by a line to commencing-point,
1107·4 links. A plan of the said lands is open for inspection
at Mr. I. L. Morris's store, Pleasant Point. All persons
affected are required to set forth in writing any well-
grounded objections to the execution of such works or to the
taking of such lands, and to send such writing within forty
days to the Council.

THE Morton Mains Freehold Estate Company (Limited)
have commenced business in Southland, and notice
is hereby given that the office or place of business of the
said company is situated at the Morton Mains Homestead,
to the west of and distant about sixteen miles from the
Town of Invercargill, in the County of Southland and Colony
of New Zealand. Dated at Morton Mains, this 30th day of
April, 1888.

I, L'ESTRANGE ISDELL, Licentiate of the King and
Queen's College of Physicians, Ireland, Licentiate in
Midwifery of the King and Queen's College of Physicians,
Ireland, and Licentiate of the Royal College of Surgeons,
Ireland, and duly registered Medical Practitioner of Great
Britain, residing at Waipawa, do now give notice of my
intention of applying on the 28th day of May, 1888, to have
my name placed on the register of Medical Practitioners in
the Colony of New Zealand; and I have this day deposited
with the Registrar at Napier the evidence of my qualifica-
tions, in terms of "The Medical Practitioners Act, 1869."
