Special Orders and Despatches




Such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate, and
shall be payable half-yearly on the first days of February
and August in each year for twenty-six years until the loan
is paid off, and shall be levied on the rateable value of the
following properties within the Whareama Road District:
The whole of the Subdivision No. 4, exclusive of Crown
and Native lands, Sections 892, 893, 894, and that portion of
Section 32 not included in the Waironga Trust Estate,
Subdivision No. 3.

I hereby certify that the above special order was passed
by the Whareama Road Board, as above, in terms of the
seventy-sixth section of "The Road Boards Act, 1882."

of Wairarapa North.

T HE following special order, made by the Alfredton
Road Board, is published in accordance with "The
Road Boards Act, 1882."

SPECIAL ORDER made by the Alfredton Road Board at a
Meeting held on Tuesday, the 3rd day of April, 1888.
That the aftermentioned special rates be made for repayment
of moneys borrowed under the provisions of "The Local
Bodies' Loans Act, 1886," and "The Government Loans to
Local Bodies Act, 1886," payable in twenty-six yearly instal-
ments on the first day of August in each year:—

A special rate of threepence in the pound on the rateable
value of the following properties: Sections Nos. 10, 12, 13, 15,
18, 19, 21, 22, 27, 28, 28A, 28B, 30, 31, 30A, 30B, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44,
16, Block VII., Mangaone Survey District, and Sections Nos.
7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, Block XI., same survey district, as
appearing on the valuation roll for the Alfredton Road Dis-
trict. For the repayment of the sum of £835, borrowed for
expenditure in construction on the Tawataia Road.

A special rate of one penny and one farthing in the pound
on the rateable value of the following properties: Sections
Nos. 145, 146, 150, 151, 196, 84, 82, 85, Block XVI., Mangaone
Survey District, and 1,000 acres, being a portion of Section
No. 210, part of Blocks XIII. and XIV. Puketoi, Block I.
Mungapakeha, Block XVI. Mangaone Survey District, as
appearing on the valuation roll for the Alfredton Road Dis-
trict. For the repayment of the sum of £300, borrowed for
expenditure in construction on the Ihuraua Valley Road.

I certify that the foregoing special order was duly made
by the Alfredton Road Board, at a meeting held on Tuesday,
the 3rd day of April, 1888, in accordance with law.

Special Orders made by Hawke's Bay County Council
constituting Papakura Road District and reconstituting
Meane Road District.

County Council, are published in accordance with
The Counties Act, 1886."

I, JOHN BENNETT, Chairman of the Hawke's Bay County
Council, do hereby certify that the following special order,
passed at a meeting of the Hawke's Bay County Council on
the 15th day of August, 1887, was duly confirmed at a spe-
cial meeting held on the 19th day of September, 1887:
"Resolved that it be a special order of the Hawke's Bay
County Council that that portion of the Meane Road Board
District comprising the Papakura Ward, and bounded as
follows—Commencing at the mouth of the Tutaekuri River;
thence in a north-easterly direction to the southern boun-
dary of the Napier Borough; thence following the said
boundary in an easterly direction to the sea-coast; thence
following the coast in a generally southerly direction to the
mouth of the Waitangi River; thence following the
Waitangi River to its junction with the Totara Creek;
thence generally south-west along the south-eastern
boundaries of the Meane South Suburban Section to the
Tutaekuri-Waimate Stream; thence generally southerly
down that stream to the junction with the Ngaruroro
River; thence generally westerly up that river to
the western boundary of the Ohikakarewa Block; thence
along that boundary to the Korokipo Block; thence along
the south-west boundary of that block in a north-westerly
direction to the main road; thence following the said road
generally northerly to the Redclyffe Bridge, on the Tutaekuri
River; thence following the said river in an easterly and
northerly direction to the starting-point—shall be declared
to be a new Road Board district under the name of the
'Papakura Road Board District.'"

I, John Bennett, Chairman of the Hawke's Bay County
Council, do hereby certify that the following special order,
passed at a meeting of the Hawke's Bay County Council on
the 20th day of February, 1888, was duly confirmed at a
special meeting held on the 19th day of March, 1888:—
"Resolved that it be a special order of the Hawke's Bay
County Council that the Meane Road Board be bounded as
follows:—
"Description of Boundaries of Meane Road Board.—
Commencing at the mouth of the Tutaekuri River; thence
bounded on the north by the edge of the Ahuriri Harbour
to the north-west corner of the Meane suburban sections;
thence following the western boundaries of the Meane
suburban sections in a southerly direction to the south-west
corner of Suburban Section 60; thence along the southern
boundary-line of the said Section 60 produced to the east
side of Church Road; thence along Church Road in a
northerly direction to the south-west corner of Section 57;
thence following the southern boundaries of Sections 57
and 44, Meanee, to the Napier-Taradale Road; thence
bounded on the south-east by the north side of the said
road to Suburban Section 35, Meanee; thence bounded on
the south-east by the western boundary of Suburban Section
35; thence bounded on the south-west by the north-east
boundaries of Sections 35 and 36, Meanee, to the Purimu
Creek; thence bounded on the north-west by the Purimu
Creek to where it crosses the western boundary-line of Sub-
urban Section 36, Meanee; thence bounded on the north-
west by Suburban Sections 35 and 37, across a road, and by
Suburban Section 17, Meanee, and by the eastern boundary-
line of the last-named section produced to the Tutaekuri
River; thence following the western bank of the said river
to the commencing-point."
