Additional Land taken at Milton for the Purposes of the Waitaki-Bluff Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable, for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Waitaki-Bluff Railway, to take further land at Milton, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is taken for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

THE parcel of land mentioned hereunder:—

A. R. P. 2 3 12 104 XII., now part of the Tokomairiro Recreation Reserve Tokomairiro.

In the Provincial District of Otago; as the said parcel of land is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 15501, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight.

Revoking the Setting-apart of Land in Otago for Agricultural Lease.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the fifty-fifth section of “The Mining Act, 1886,” it is, amongst other things, enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor to cause Crown lands situate within a goldfield to be selected and set apart for the purpose of granting agricultural leases, or for alienation by occupation licenses on deferred payments, under any law for the time being in force in the land district in which such mining district is situate:

And whereas the lands described in the Schedule hereto were, by Proclamation dated the twenty-seventh day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five, set apart for agricultural leases:

And whereas it is deemed expedient to revoke the said Proclamation in so far as it relates to the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the said Proclamation of the twenty-seventh day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five, in so far as it relates to the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto.
