Private Advertisements.
THE NEW ZEALAND SUGAR COMPANY (LIMITED).
At a special general meeting of the members of the above-named company, duly convened and held at the registered office of the company, Customs Street, Auckland, on the 9th day of December, 1887, the subjoined special resolutions were duly passed; and at a subsequent special general meeting of the members of the said company, also duly convened and held at the same place on the 24th day of December, 1887, the said resolutions were duly confirmed.
RESOLUTIONS.

That it is expedient to effect an amalgamation of this company with the Colonial Sugar Refining Company (Limited), and that, with a view thereto, this company be wound up voluntarily, and that Messrs. William Willmet Philson and John Aitken Connell be, and they are hereby appointed, Liquidators for the purpose of such winding up.

That the conditional agreement dated the 22nd day of November, 1887, made between Sir Frederick Whitaker, of Auckland, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the New Zealand Sugar Company (Limited), for and on behalf of that company, of the one part, and the Colonial Sugar Refining Company (Limited), of the other part, a draft of which agreement was submitted to this meeting, be, and the same is hereby, approved; and that the Liquidators be, and they are hereby, authorised to adopt the said agreement and carry the same into effect.

That the remuneration of the Liquidators be fixed at the sum of £15 15s.

I, Roderick Alexander Macleod, Bachelor of Medicine and Master of Surgery of the University of Glasgow, now residing in Invercargill, do hereby give notice that I intend to apply to you, on the 4th day of February, 1888, to have my name placed on the Register of Medical Practitioners in the Colony of New Zealand; and I have deposited diplomas along with this in your office for public inspection, in terms of “The Medical Practitioners Act, 1869.”

WAIROA ROAD BOARD.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD PURPOSES.
The Wairoa Road Board intend to take certain lands herein described, under “The Public Works Act, 1882,” for road purposes, and all persons affected are requested to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the taking of such lands or the execution of the proposed works, and to send such writing within forty days from the date of publication hereof to the Wairoa Road Board.
Plans are open for inspection at Mr. A. W. Curry’s store, Waitotara.
