neglect to remove any animal from quarantine within
twenty-four hours after an Inspector shall have given a
permit for its removal, or who shall refuse or neglect forth-
with to obey any requisition, order, or direction under these
orders and regulations, or any of them, of any Inspector, or
who shall enter or leave any quarantine ground without the
permission of an Inspector, or shall obstruct or hinder any
Inspector in the execution of any of his duties or powers
under these orders and regulations, shall forfeit and pay for
every such offence a penalty of not less than £10 nor more
than £50.

Every person who, being thereunto required by these
orders and regulations, shall neglect to forward the declara-
tions of health required by the fifth order and regulation, or
any of them, to the Chief Inspector of Sheep, at Hobart,
within twenty-four hours of the arrival of any animal at
Launceston, or who shall neglect to give notice of their
arrival pursuant to the fifth of these regulations; and every
person who shall land or attempt to land, or permit to be
landed, or be concerned in landing or attempting to land,
any fodder, or the skin, horn, or hoof of any animal which
died on board of any vessel, shall forfeit and pay for every
such offence a penalty of not less than £10 nor more than
£50. -
Every person who shall touch, or handle, or place him-
self in contact with any animal, fodder, or fittings, contrary
to these orders and regulations, numbered 20, shall for every
such offence forfeit and pay a penalty of £5. -
Every person, being thereunto liable, who shall neglect
or refuse to pay on demand by an Inspector the cost of all
expenses incurred under these orders and regulations, shall,
for every day during which such neglect or refusal shall
continue, forfeit and pay a penalty of £25.
SCHEDULE A.
Declaration of Health by Breeder or Owner.
I, the undersigned [breeder or owner's name and address,
in full], being the breeder [or owner] of the animals about to
be shipped from the port of , by the , of which
is the master, for Tasmania, which animals are
more particularly described in the Schedule below, do hereby
solemnly and sincerely declare that such animals are now
and have for the last preceding sixty days been free from
infectious or contagious disease, and that such animals have
not, nor has any of them, during the said sixty days, been in
contact, or feeding on the same farm or pasturage, or been
in the same enclosure, yard, stable, or building, with any
animal infected with infectious or contagious disease, and
that none of the said animals were conveyed to the aforesaid
port of shipment in any cart, truck, or other vehicle [if such
animals, or any of them, were so conveyed, in lieu hereof,
state], and that the truck, cart, or other vehicle in which
the said animals were conveyed to the aforesaid port of ship-
ment has, for the purpose of and before conveying such
animals, been washed and disinfected. And I make this
solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be
true.

Declaration of Health by Veterinary Surgeon at Port of Shipment.
I, the undersigned, duly-qualified veterinary surgeon, and
a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons,
having made a thorough inquiry respecting, and a careful
examination of, the animals about to be shipped from the
port of , by the , of which is the
master, for Tasmania, which animals are more particularly
described in the Schedule below, and having made a like
inquiry in regard to, and examination of, the animals about
to be put on board the said vessel, as well for export as for
the use of the passengers and crew thereof (particulars of
which are also given below), do hereby solemnly and sincerely
declare that, to the best of my knowledge, information, and
'belief, none of such animals are now or are likely to be
infected with any infectious or contagious disease. And I
make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the
same to be true.

contained in the Schedule hereunder written with regard to
the animals therein mentioned are true; and I further
solemnly and sincerely declare that no disease of any kind
has shown itself on any animal on board the said vessel
during the voyage from to Tasmania, and that no
animal on the said vessel is now infected, or likely to be
infected, with infectious or contagious disease. [*If any
disease should have shown itself during the voyage the decla-
ration must state the nature of such disease, its effect on the
animal or animals affected, and the time during which any
such animal was affected.]
And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously be-
lieving the same to be true.
