First Elections, &c., Otago Heads Road Board, County of Peninsula.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred by “The Road Boards Act 1882 Amendment Act, 1884,” and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, James Prendergast, in the name and on behalf of His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, and as his duly-appointed Deputy, do hereby proclaim and declare Saturday, the tenth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight, as the day for the first election of the members of the Road Board of the Otago Heads Road District; and I do hereby appoint Henry Bishop, of Otago Heads, to be the Returning Officer for the conduct of the said election, and that the first meeting of the said Road Board shall be held at the Schoolhouse, Otago Heads, on the seventeenth day of March next, at the hour of noon.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir James Prendergast, Knight, Chief Justice, for and on behalf of His Excellency the Governor, and as his duly-appointed Deputy, in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this ninth day of February, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight.

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the one hundred and ninety-seventh section of “The Land Act, 1885,” and of every other power and authority enabling me in that behalf, I, James Prendergast, in the name and on behalf of His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, and as his duly-appointed Deputy, do hereby declare that the sections of land enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be subject to the provisions of sections one hundred and ninety-eight to two hundred and nineteen of Part VII. of “The Land Act, 1885,” relating to small grazing runs.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a public work authorised to be constructed by the Government, to wit, the North Island Main Trunk Railway, from a point at or near Marton to Te Awamutu, via Murimotu, Taumarunui, and the Ongaruke River Valley:
And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native owners:
ERRATUM.—In New Zealand Gazette No. 6, of 27th January, 1888, page 84, in foot-note to “Application for Registration of Trade Mark” in favour of T. C. Williams and Company, for tobacco, for “3” at end of note read “2.”
