The Village Homestead Special-settlement sections are situated in a central and commanding position at the Mangatainoka Bridge, about seven miles south of Woodville, near the junction of the Toritea-Puketoi, North Mangatainoka, and North Tiraumea Roads with the main road and proposed railway to Masterton. Some of the sections contain flat, some undulating, and others broken land. There are lagoons and swamps in places. The sections are generally covered with heavy mixed bush, but there are patches of white-pine and manuka scrub. The lots comprise stony, swampy, and in some parts good soil. Forms of application and plans can be obtained at the principal post offices, Forty-mile Bush, and at this office, where full particulars can be obtained.
