A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the sixth section of “The Licensing Act,
1881,” it is enacted that the Governor shall, as soon
as conveniently may be after the commencement of the said
Act, by Proclamation in the Gazette, from time to time
define districts to be licensing districts under the said Act,
and from time to time may alter and redefine the boun-
daries of the same :

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, in
pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in
me by the said Act, alter and redefine the boundaries of the
Mount Roskill Licensing District, which shall, from and
after the third day of February instant, be those described
in the First Schedule hereto ; and do proclaim and define
the part of the colony mentioned and described in the Second
Schedule hereto to be, from and after the said third day of
February instant, an ordinary licensing district for the pur-
poses of the said Act.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

EDEN COUNTY.

Mount Roskill Licensing District.—All that area in the
County of Eden known as the Mount Roskill Road District,
as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 42, of the 18th
May, 1883.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

EDEN COUNTY.

Avondale Licensing District.—All that area in the County
of Eden known as the Avondale Road District, as described
in the New Zealand Gazette No. 42, of the 18th May, 1883.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William
Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General
in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable
Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-
Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral
of the same; and issued under the Seal of the
said Colony, at Dunedin, this third day of February,
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hun-
dred and eighty-seven.

Epsom Licensing District.—Comprises all that area in the
County of Eden known as the Epsom Road District ; as
described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 42, 18th May,
1883.

WHEREAS by the two hundred and twenty-seventh
section of “The Land Act, 1885,” it is enacted that
the Governor may from time to time, either by general or
particular description, and whether the same has been sur-
veyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding
that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any
Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of
the purposes in the said section mentioned :

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the
said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land
in the Land Districts of Auckland, Wellington, Marlborough,
and Canterbury, described in the Schedule hereunder
written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND.

All that piece or parcel of land situate in the Opaheke
Survey District, Provincial District of Auckland, containing
by admeasurement 9 acres 3 roods 22 perches, more or less,
and being Lot No. 117 of Section No. 1 of the Parish of
Maungatawhiri. Bounded towards the North-east by Lot
No. 118 of Section No. 1, Parish of Maungatawhiri, 1209 links ;
towards the South-east by Lot No. 125 of Section No. 1 afore-
said, 825 links ; towards the South-west by a public road,
1200 links ; and towards the North-west by a public road,
818 links, to the point of commencement : be all the afore-
said linkages more or less. For a gravel-pit.

WELLINGTON.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District
of Wellington, being Section No. 53 on the plan of Block
XVI., Mangahao Survey District, containing by admeasure-
ment 134 acres, more or less, and deposited in the office of
the Chief Surveyor, Wellington. For primary education.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District
of Wellington, being Section No. 55 on the plan of Township
of Kaitawa, Block VIII., Makuri Survey District, containing
by admeasurement 1 acre and 39 perches, more or less, and
deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.
For public buildings.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District
of Wellington, being Section No. 15 on the plan of suburban
sections, Township of Kaitawa, Block VIII., Makuri Survey
District, containing by admeasurement 4 acres, more or less,
and deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Welling-
ton. For a school site.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District
of Wellington, being Section No. 55 on the plan of sub-
urban sections, Township of Kaitawa, Block VIII., Makuri
Survey District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres 2
roods 35 perches, more or less, and deposited in the office of
the Chief Surveyor, Wellington. For primary education.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District
of Wellington, being Section No. 29 on the plan of Township
of Kaitawa, Block VIII., Makuri Survey District, containing
by admeasurement 1 acre and 24 perches, more or less, and
deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.
For public buildings.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District
of Wellington, being Section No. 37 on the plan of sub-
urban sections, Township of Kaitawa, Block VIII., Makuri
Survey District, containing by admeasurement 4 acres, more
or less, and deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor,
Wellington. For primary education.
