Tenders for the Supply and Delivery of Telegraph Arms.

THE Telegraph Commissioner is prepared to receive separate tenders, until the 31st January, 1888, for the supply and delivery of telegraph arms as under:—
10,000 (ten thousand) arms, 4ft. 6in. long.
5,000 (five thousand) arms, 27in. long.

Specifications and sample arms can be seen at the Telegraph Stores, Wellington, and at the Post Offices at Greytown North, Foxton, Palmerston North, Feilding, Wanganui, New Plymouth, and the Telegraph Offices at Masterton and Wellington.

Tenders to be addressed to the "Superintendent, Posts and Telegraphs, Wellington," and indorsed, "Tender for Telegraph Arms."

Agricultural Lease cancelled.

IT is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to pronounce the under-mentioned agricultural lease cancelled, and that the ground is now open for application as if no lease of the said ground had ever been applied for:—

Ralph Halliday; Sections 10, 11, 12, and 13, Block I., 192 acres 1 rood 13 perches, Lower Wanaka, Otago Mining District. No. 1696c.

Gold-mining Lease cancelled.

Native Land Court Notices.

Sitting of the Native Land Court in re Heretaunga Block.

IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT OF
NEW ZEALAND.

WHEREAS in a suit now pending in the Supreme Court of New Zealand, wherein Arihi te Nahu and others are plaintiffs, and Thomas Tanner and others, Samuel Locke and others, Moanaroa Kokohu and others, and Henare Tomoana and others are defendants, it was, by order bearing date the second day of September, 1887, adjudged, decreed, and ordered, among other things, as follows:—

"1. That it be referred to the Native Land Court to inquire and ascertain what were the respective interests, according to Native custom and usage, of the ten Native grantees of the block of land called or known as Heretaunga, and situated in the Provincial District of Hawke's Bay, containing nineteen thousand three hundred and eighty-five acres,

under and by virtue of a certain Crown grant dated the first day of April, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-seven, under the provisions of "The Native Land Act, 1865," whereby the said land was granted to Henare Tomoana, Arihi te Nahu, Manaena Tini, Matiaha, Paramena One One, Apora Pahora, Karaitiana Takamoana, Te Waka Kawatini, Noa Hake, and Tareha Moananui."

"2. That, in ascertaining the said interests, the said Native Land Court shall have regard to the fact that the shares or interests of Te Waka Kawatini and Tareha Moananui, two of the said grantees, were each one equal to one-tenth part."

"3. It is ordered that the said Native Land Court shall certify to this Court the result of such inquiry and ascertainment, and it is further ordered that the statement of facts hereinafter set forth in the schedule hereunder written shall be the case stated for the opinion of the said Native Land Court:"

Now notice is hereby given that, at a sitting to be held at Napier, Hawke's Bay, on the thirty-first day of January, 1888, this Court will proceed to inquire and ascertain, and afterwards to certify as directed by the said decree; and at such sitting all parties concerned in the matters and questions so referred are hereby notified to attend.

Nuhaka No. 2 Block.—Rehearing.

IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT:
DISTRICT OF GISBORNE.

NOTICE is hereby given that the rehearing ordered to be had in the matter of a decision of the Court, given during a sitting opened at Hastings, on the 8th day of July, 1884, upon an investigation into the title to land called Nuhaka No. 2, situate in the said district, will be had at a sitting of the Court, to be opened at Wairoa, Hawke's Bay, on the 16th day of February, 1888.
