8330, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works,
at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and
thereon coloured red.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-fifth
day of October, 1887.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken for a public work authorised
to be constructed by the Government, to wit, the Tamaki
Section of the Wellington-Napier Railway: And whereas
the said land is held or occupied by Native owners:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers
vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and the
amendments thereof, and of all other powers in anywise
enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency Sir William
Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order
that the Government work known as the Tamaki Section of
the Wellington-Napier Railway shall and may be constructed
on or through the parcels of land more particularly men-
tioned in the Schedule hereto.

Land temporarily reserved in the Land Districts of Auck-
land, Taranaki, Hawke's Bay, and Southland.

WHEREAS by the two hundred and twenty-seventh
section of “The Land Act, 1885,” it is enacted that
the Governor may from time to time, either by general or
particular description, and whether the same has been sur-
veyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding
that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any
Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of
the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the
said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land
in the Land Districts of Auckland, Taranaki, Hawke's Bay,
and Southland, described in the Schedule hereunder written,
for the purposes in the said Schedule specified.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND.
All that piece or parcel of land situate in the Provincial
District of Auckland, called or known as Section No. 4 of
Block II., Tauhara Survey District, and containing by ad-
measurement 298 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the
north by a line, 5603 links; towards the east by a line, 5340
links; towards the south generally by lines, 5270 and 320
links; and towards the west generally by the Waikato River,
by the Otumuheke Block 818 and 2194 links, and by the
crossing of a road and the Patuiwi Reserve 285 links to the
point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more
or less; save and except from the area hereinbefore described
all that parcel of land known as Section No. 5 of Block II.,
Tauhara Survey District aforesaid, and further excepting
two roads, one 100 links in width and one varying in width,
which traverse the area hereinbefore described. For re-
creation.
All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District
of Auckland, containing 323 acres, more or less, called or
known as the Karamuramu Block, being Section No. 1 of
Block V., Galatea Survey District. Bounded towards the
north-west by the Rangipo Native Reserve, 5171 links;
towards the east and south-east by the Rangitaiki River;
towards the south by Native land, 2923 and 540 links; and
towards the west by Crown land, 4800 links: be all the
aforesaid linkages more or less. For a Native school-site.
All that piece or parcel of land in the County of Tauranga,
situate near Maunganui Bluff, Tauranga Survey District,
containing by admeasurement 2 acres and 2 perches, more
or less, the boundary of which commences at a point bearing
N. 68° 9′ 34″ E. distant 1031 links from Sub Trig. Station
V¹. Bounded towards the south-west by a line bearing
N. 33° 14′ W., 450 links; towards the north-west by a line
bearing N. 27° 11′ E., 450 links; towards the north-east by a
line bearing S. 33° 14′ E, 450 links; and towards the south-
east by a road-line bearing S. 27° 11′ W., 450 links, to the
starting-point. For a pilot reserve.
All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District
of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 39 acres 1 rood,
more or less, being Section No. 8 of Block XI., Te Aroha
Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Section
No. 13 of Block IX., 2595 links; towards the north-east by
Section No. 90 of Block XI. aforesaid 1392 links, and by a
reservation, 100 links wide, along the banks of the Waihou
River; towards the south-east by Section No. 6 of Block XI.
aforesaid, 980 links; towards the south-west by a public
road, 1693 links; towards the north-west, again towards the
south-west, and again towards the south-east by Section
No. 8A of Block XI. aforesaid, 1110, 925, and 1110 links
respectively; and again towards the south-west by the afore-
said public road, 1398 links, to the commencing-point: be
all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a recreation-
ground.
All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District
of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 10 acres 1 rood,
more or less, being Section No. 8A of Block XI., Te Aroha
Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west, north-
east, and south-east by Section No. 8, 1110, 925, and 1110
links respectively; and towards the south-west by a road,
925 links, to the commencing-point: be all the aforesaid
linkages more or less. For a site for a cemetery.
TARANAKI.
All that area situate in Block XVI., Ngaire Survey Dis-
trict, Provincial District of Taranaki, being the lake named
Rotokare, together with a belt of land 3 chains in width
around its shores, and estimated to contain together 80
acres. For a recreation-ground.
HAWKE'S BAY.
All that piece or parcel of land in the Hawke's Bay Land
District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 2
perches, more or less, being Section No. 49, Block XIV.,
Tahoraite Survey District. Bounded on the north-east by a
public road, 991 links; on the South by Section No. 6, Block
XIV., Tahoraite Survey District, 338·2 links; and on the
west by a road, Gravel Reserve No. 7, and by Section No. 6,
Block IX., Tahoraite Survey District, 900 links: be all the
aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on
the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor,
Napier. For a site for a cemetery.
SOUTHLAND.
All that piece or parcel of land in the Southland Land
District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less,
being Section No. 7, Block I., Town of Otatau. Bounded
towards the north-west by Section No. 6 of same block, 250
links; towards the north-east by Section No. 18 of same
