ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this seventh day of December, 1887.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a public work authorised to be constructed by the Government, to wit, the North Island Main Trunk Railway, from a point at or near Marton to Te Awamutu, via Murimotu, Taumaranui, and the Ongaruhe River Valley:

And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native owners:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works, Act, 1882,” and the amendments thereof, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order that the Government work known as the North Island Main Trunk Railway, from a point at or near Marton to Te Awamutu, via Murimotu, Taumaranui, and the Ongaruhe River Valley, shall and may be constructed on or through the parcels of land more particularly mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

The parcel of land mentioned hereunder:—

In the Provincial District of Auckland; as the said parcel of land is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 15097, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Vesting a Reserve in the Waitemata County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this thirteenth day of December, 1887.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto was reserved for a landing-place: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said land in the Chairman, Councillors, and inhabitants of the Waitemata County:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the said reserve shall become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and inhabitants of the Waitemata County, in trust, for a landing-place.

SCHEDULE.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 3 roods 24 perches, more or less, and being known as Allotment No. 178A, Wade Village, Parish of Waiwera, Provincial District of Auckland. Bounded towards the north by Allotment No. 178, 473 links; towards the east by Allotment No. 179, 156 links; towards the south by the Weiti River; and towards the west by a road-line, 251 links: be all the aforesaid linages more or less.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS it is, among other things, provided by section two hundred and forty-two of “The Counties Act, 1886,” that in any place where there is no Harbour Board the Governor, on the request of the Council of any county bordering on any estuary or arm of the sea, may, by Order in Council gazetted, declare that such Council shall, from a date to be fixed in such order, exercise all the powers of a Harbour Board within such limits of such estuary or arm aforesaid as the Governor may define for that purpose:

And whereas the Council of the County of Southland, which borders on the estuary or arm of the sea known as Fortrose Harbour, in the Provincial District of Otago, has
