Private Advertisements.

THE CITY OF AUCKLAND TRAMWAYS AND SUBUR-
BAN LAND COMPANY (LIMITED).

NOTICE of the intention of the City of Auckland Tram-
ways and Suburban Land Company (Limited) to
apply for an order to authorise them to construct a tramway
within the Road Districts of Remuera, Epsom, and One-tree
Hill, all in the Suburbs of Auckland and Provincial District
of Auckland, along the route mentioned in the following
advertisement:—

Notice is hereby given that, at the expiration of thirty
days from the publication hereof, application is intended to
be made to his Excellency the Governor in Council for an
order empowering the City of Auckland Tramways and
Suburban Land Company (Limited) to construct, make, and
use a tramway within the limits of the Road Board Districts
of the said Remuera Road District, Epsom Road District,
and One-tree Hill Road District, along and over the follow-
ing route, viz.,—

From the present terminus of the said company's tramway
at Newmarket, along the east side of the Manukau Road to
Green Lane, as shown by the plan to be deposited as herein-
after mentioned, with power to make convenient sidings,
passing-places, and crossings for the purpose of such tram-
way.

And notice is hereby further given that the said tramway
is intended to be used both for goods and passenger traffic,
and that a copy of this advertisement, and a proper plan of
the proposed works, and all other documents required to be
deposited under the provisions of "The Tramways Act,
1872," will, on or before the 9th day of December, 1887, be
deposited for public inspection in the office in the City of
Auckland of the Registrar of the Supreme Court, and also at
the offices of the Remuera Road Board, at Remuera, the
offices of the Epsom Road Board, at Epsom, the offices of
the One-tree Hill Road Board, and also in the office of the
Governor, in the City of Wellington; and that printed copies
of the draft order, when deposited pursuant to subsection 3
of the Third Schedule to "The Tramways Act, 1872," and
of the order, when made, can be obtained at the office of the
said company, situate in Queen Street, in the said City of
Auckland.

WALLACE COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE UNDER "THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1882," AND
AMENDMENTS.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wallace County Council
intend to take part of Section 36, Block XV., Jacob's
River Hundred, for a road, and that the said Council have
caused a plan to be prepared showing the land required to be
taken for the same, together with the names of the owners and
occupiers of such land as far as they can be ascertained, and
that such plan is deposited at the office of the said Council,
Riverton, and open for inspection by all persons at all reason-
able hours; and all persons affected are hereby called upon
to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the
execution of such work or the taking of such lands, and to
send such writing, within forty days from the first publication
of this notice, to the Wallace County Council, at their office
at Riverton.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general
meeting of the Shareholders of the Temuka Linseed
Oil, Cake, and Fibre Company (Limited), held in the Odd
Fellows' Hall, Temuka, on the 24th October, 1887, the fol-
lowing special resolution was confirmed and passed :—

"That the Temuka Linseed Oil, Cake, and Fibre Company
(Limited) be wound up voluntarily."

And notice is hereby further given that the undersigned
were, at the said meeting, appointed Liquidators for that
purpose.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership lately sub-
sisting between us, the undersigned ALEXANDER
GALLOWAY and ANDREW BURNS, carrying on business as
Printers and Newspaper Publishers, at Riverton, under the
style or firm of "Galloway and Burns," has this day been
dissolved by mutual consent. All debts due to or owing by
the said late firm will be received and paid by the said
Alexander Galloway.

In the matter of "The Companies Act, 1882," and of the
voluntary winding-up of the Egmont Sash, Door, Timber,
and Woodware Manufacturing Company (Limited).

TAKE notice that the affairs of the above named com-
pany are fully wound up, and the Liquidators hereby
call a General Meeting of the company for the purpose of
having the account laid before them, and such meeting will
be held at the Friendly Societies' Hall, High Street, Hawera,
on Tuesday, the 24th day of January, 1888, at the hour of
7.30 o'clock p.m.

Advertisements are charged at the uniform rate of 6d. per
line for each insertion.
For half-yearly statements under the Mining Act, the
charge will be 2s.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible
hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.
Booksellers and Advertising Agents will be allowed a com-
mission at the rate of 5 per cent.
NO ADVERTISEMENT WILL BE INSERTED WITHOUT PREPAY-
MENT BEING MADE.
