NOTICE OF CONSTRUCTION OF WATER-RACE.

To the Mining Registrar at Waikaia of the Otago Mining District, and all other persons whom it may concern.

TAKE notice that it is intended to construct a Water-race and divert water for wool-washing and chaff-cutting, and also for irrigating purposes, commencing at a point on the Nokomai River (east side) about 120 links west from the south-west corner of Section 3, Nokomai (Cameron's old pre-emptive right), and marked by pegs D. The length of such race is about 35½ chains, and its intended course is mainly in a south by west direction from the starting-point. The mean breadth and depth of such race are 2ft. 6in. wide on top, 2ft. in bottom, and about 12in. in depth; and it is proposed to divert three Government-heads of water. Cost of construction, £10. Time required for construction, two weeks.

HORORATA COPPER-MINING COMPANY (LIMITED), IN LIQUIDATION.

A GENERAL Meeting of Shareholders will be held at No. 90, Manchester Street, Christchurch, on Tuesday, the 16th February, 1888, at 3 p.m., for the inspection of accounts.

In the matter of "The Companies Act, 1882," and of the Hororata Copper-mining Company (Limited), in liquidation.

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the Shareholders in the above-named company, held at No. 90, Manchester Street, Christchurch, on Tuesday, the 18th day of October, 1887, the following special resolutions were submitted and carried:—

  1. "That the Hororata Copper-mining Company (Limited) be voluntarily wound up."
  2. "That James Robert Johnston, of Christchurch, Timber Merchant, be appointed Liquidator of the said company."

And at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the Shareholders of the said company, held at the same place, on Thursday, the 17th day of November, 1887, the above resolutions were duly confirmed.

I, the undersigned, hereby make application to register the Wareatea Gold-mining Company as a Limited Company, under the provisions of "The Mining Companies Act, 1886."

  1. The name of the company is to be the Wareatea Gold-mining Company (Limited).
  2. The place of operations is at Fairdown, County of Buller.
  3. The registered office of the company will be situated at Liverpool Street, Dunedin.
  4. The nominal capital of the company is seven thousand five hundred pounds, in twenty-five thousand shares of six shillings each.
  5. The number of shares subscribed for is nineteen thousand four hundred and forty, being not less than two-thirds of the entire number of shares in the company.
  6. The number of paid-up shares is four thousand, paid up to five shillings each.
  7. The amount already paid up is one thousand pounds.
  8. The name of the Manager is John Gould.
