A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the sixth section of “The Licensing Act, 1881,” it is enacted that the Governor shall, as soon as conveniently may be after the commencement of the said Act, by Proclamation in the Gazette, from time to time define districts to be licensing districts under the said Act, and from time to time may alter and redefine the boundaries of the same:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the said Act, alter and redefine the boundaries of the Raukapuka Licensing District, which shall, from and after the first day of January next, be those described in the First Schedule hereto; and do hereby proclaim and define the part of the colony mentioned and described in the Second Schedule hereto to be, from and after the said first day of January next, an ordinary licensing district for the purposes of the said Act.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
GERALDINE COUNTY.
Raukapuka Licensing District.—Comprises all that area in the County of Geraldine known as the Riding of Raukapuka, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 60, of the 29th June, 1883; and the Riding of Mount Peel, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 63, of the 28th November, 1876, exclusive of the Geraldine Licensing District, hereinafter described.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
GERALDINE COUNTY.
Geraldine Licensing District.—Comprises all that area in the County of Geraldine known as the Town District of Geraldine, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 72, of the 20th June, 1884.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this second day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven.

Land set apart on Deferred Payments in Auckland.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the one hundred and fourth section of “The Land Act, 1885,” it is enacted that the Governor, by Proclamation in the Gazette, may from time to time set apart out of any suburban or rural lands such blocks or allotments of land as he shall think fit, and set the same aside for sale on deferred payments, and in such Proclamation may fix a day on which the land shall be open for application; and that he may also in like manner set apart for sale on deferred payments such blocks or allotments as may be recommended by any Land Board, and may also from time to time alter, amend, or revoke any such Proclamation:
And whereas the Land Board of Auckland has passed a resolution recommending that the land described in the Schedule hereto annexed should be set apart for sale on deferred payments:
And whereas it is expedient to give effect to the aforesaid recommendation, and to set apart the said land accordingly:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the above-named Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is set apart for sale on deferred payments; and that Wednesday, the fourteenth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, shall be the day on which the said land shall be open for application, as surveyed and marked on the selection map in the principal land office of the district.
