Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-second day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven.

Proclaiming the Taking and Laying-off of a Road over Land in the Wellington Provincial District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and in exercise of all powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim that the road described in the Schedule hereto has been duly taken and laid off through the land specified under warrants of the dates given in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece of land, 100 links wide, containing about 13 acres, the centre of which commences at a point marked A on the north-eastern boundary-line of the Te Ahitainga Block No. 1, distant 846 links, on a bearing of 305° 12′, from the north-east corner of same block; and which proceeds thence over the Okurupeti Block, Block II., Otahoua Survey District, along a line bearing 63° 11′, 1971 links; thence by a line bearing 79° 4′, 10632 links; thence by a line bearing 74° 40′, 455 links, to a point marked B on the proper left bank of the Wangaehu River, distant about 250 links south from the south-west corner of the Wangaehu North Block: as the same piece of land is more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.O. 1731/46, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.

All that piece of land, 1 chain wide, containing by admeasurement 7 acres and 18 perches, the northern boundary of which commences at a point marked A, near a bridge over the Ruamahanga River, in the Te Ore Ore No. 1 Block, Blocks I. and II., Otahoua Survey District; and which proceeds thence on a bearing of 94° 49′, 427 links; thence on a bearing of 84° 40′, 2034 links; thence on a bearing of 33° 25′, 1358 links; thence on a bearing of 36° 31′, 1303 links; thence on a bearing of 36° 28′, 1333 links; thence on a bearing of 63° 27′, 657 links, to a point marked B, distant about 2600 links from the north-east corner of the Te Ore Ore No. 1 Block, on a bearing of 295° 19′: as the same piece of land is more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.O. 1731/46, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.

All that irregular piece of land, of an average of about 100 links wide, containing 3 acres and 11 perches, the eastern boundary of which commences at a point marked C, distant 815 links from traverse-tube No. 1, on a bearing of 262° 26′, Block X., Waipakura Survey District, over a part of the Kaiwhaiki Block in a southerly direction along the proper left bank of the Wanganui River to a point marked D, distant 3113 links from the starting-point: as the same piece of land is more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.O. 605/420, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.

All that irregular piece of land containing by admeasurement about 8 acres 2 roods, the southern boundary of which commences at a point marked E, 50 links north of Traverse Station No. XXVIII., situate south 7775 links and west 33648 links from Parikino Trig. Station, in the Kaiwhaiki Block, Block X., Waipakura Survey District; and following thence in a westerly and southerly direction along the left bank of the Wanganui River, over part of the aforesaid block, to a point marked F, distant 8949 links from the starting-point: as the same piece of land is more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.O. 605/420, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.

All that piece of land, 50 links wide, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 14 perches, the eastern boundary of which commences at a point marked A, distant about 80 links along the north-easterly boundary-line of the Tunahaere Block from its north-east corner, in Block X., Waipakura Survey District; and which proceeds thence through the said block in a southerly direction, and generally parallel to the bank of the Wanganui River, to a point marked B, distant about 100 links from the southern corner of said block: as the same piece of land is more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.O. 605/420, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.

All that piece of land, 1 chain wide, containing 8 acres 2 roods 20 perches, the southern boundary of which commences at a point marked A on the left bank of the Wangaehu River, distant about 300 links south from the north-west corner of the Wangaehu South Block; and which proceeds thence over part of the Wangaehu South Block and over the Wangaehu North Block, Block II., Otahoua Survey District, in a north-easterly direction along a line bearing 74° 40′, 70 links; thence along a line bearing 57° 15′, 2011 links; thence along a line bearing 83° 36′, 1571 links; thence along a line bearing 66° 34′, 3617 links; thence along a line bearing 78° 50′, 200 links; thence along a line bearing 47° 52′, 127 links; and thence along a line bearing 66° 41′, 1010 links, to a point marked B on the eastern boundary of the Wangaehu North Block, distant 3987 links along the eastern boundary of said block southward from the Wangaehu River: as the same piece of land is more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.O. 1731/46, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.

All that piece of land, 100 links wide, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 1 rood 34 perches, the centre of which commences at a point marked A on the north-western boundary-line of the Te Awahohonu Native Block, Block IX., Waitohu Survey District, distant 50 links from the south-western corner of said Native block; and which proceeds thence in a south-easterly direction parallel to the south-west boundary of said Native block to a point marked B, 592 links, it proceeds thence generally in a northerly direction along lines 383, 492, 545, and 498 links to a point marked C on the northern boundary of same Native block, distant 68 links from its north-west corner: as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.O. 2442/25, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.

Date of Governor’s warrant, 22nd July, 1886.

All that piece of land, 100 links wide, containing by admeasurement 3 acres, the centre of which commences at a point marked A, at the south-east corner of Section No. 306, Block V., Tiffin Survey District; and follows thence the original southern boundary-line of said section and its production to a point marked B, distant 3011 links from A: as the same piece of land is more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.O. 787/85, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.

Date of Governor’s warrant, 20th November, 1882.

All that piece of land, 100 links wide, containing 6 acres 1 rood 35 perches, the south-eastern boundary of which commences at a point marked F on the north-eastern boundary-line of the Otairi No. 1c Block, distant 3751 links from its north-eastern corner at Kiekie; and proceeding thence in a south-westerly direction, on a bearing of 220° 17′, distant 5774 links, to a point marked E at the intersection of a road distant 1687 links, on a bearing of 153° 56′ from the northern boundary of the Hapopo Block: as the same piece of land is more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.O. 2455/10, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.

All that piece of land, 100 links wide, containing 24 acres and 18 perches, the centre of which commences at a point marked C on the north-eastern boundary line of the Otairi No. 1c Native Block, and distant 11748 links from the north-eastern corner of same block; and proceeds thence in a southern, eastern, and northern direction through the Otairi No. 1c Block, the Otairi No. 3 Block, and the Hapopo Block to a point marked D on the north-western boundary of the last-named block, distant 1007 links, on a bearing of 56° 48′, from Te Kiekie Trig. Station, being the north-eastern corner of Otairi No. 1c Block: as the same piece of land is more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.O. 2455/10, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.

All that piece of land, 100 links wide, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 3 roods 36 perches, the centre of which commences at a point marked A, distant about 1900 links, on a bearing of 80° from the south-west corner of Poukiori No. 2 Block, Block XV, Tiriraukawa Survey District; and proceeds thence in a north-easterly direction along lines, 606, 387, 697, and 316 links, to a point marked B on the north-eastern boundary-line of said Native block, and distant 797 links from its north-eastern corner: as the same piece of land is more particularly delineated on the plan
