Land set apart on Deferred Payments in Auckland.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the one hundred and fourth section of “The Land Act, 1885,” it is enacted that the Governor, by Proclamation in the Gazette, may from time to time set apart out of any suburban or rural lands such blocks or allotments of land as he shall think fit, and set the same aside for sale on deferred payments, and in such Proclamation may fix a day on which the land shall be open for application; and that he may also in like manner set apart for sale on deferred payments such blocks or allotments as may be recommended by any Land Board, and may also from time to time alter, amend, or revoke any such Proclamation:

And whereas the Land Board of Auckland has passed a resolution recommending that the land described in the Schedule hereto annexed should be set apart for sale on deferred payments:

And whereas it is expedient to give effect to the aforesaid recommendation, and to set apart the said land accordingly:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the above-named Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is set apart for sale on deferred payments; and that Wednesday, the sixteenth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, shall be the day on which the said land shall be open for application, in allotments as surveyed and marked on the selection map in the principal land office of the district.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this thirteenth day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven.

Sheep District of Marlborough amended, and Sheep District of Omaka constituted.—Notice No. 239.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it is expedient that the Marlborough Sheep District, as at present constituted, should be altered and reconstituted, and that a new district, to be called the Omaka Sheep District, should be constituted:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the eighth section of “The Sheep Act, 1878,” do hereby constitute anew the Marlborough Sheep District, and the subdivisions thereof respectively, and hereby constitute a new district to be called the Omaka Sheep District; and I do hereby declare that, for the purposes of the said Act, the said districts and the subdivisions of the Marlborough Sheep District shall hereafter be as the same are described in the Schedule hereto, including in such districts or subdivisions all boroughs within the territorial area comprised within the external boundaries of any such district or subdivision as defined in the said Schedule, although such boroughs do not actually form part of any county therein mentioned; and that such districts and subdivisions shall be known by the names set over each such district and subdivision respectively in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

MARLBOROUGH SHEEP DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Provincial Districts of Marlborough and Nelson bounded generally towards the West, North-east, and East by the ocean from the head of Croiselles Harbour to the mouth of the Conway River; thence towards the South-west generally by that river to its source; thence towards the South by a straight line in the direction of the confluence of the Acheron and the Dillon Rivers as far as the western boundary-line of Run No. 1, Terako Survey District; thence again towards the East by the said Run No. 1; again towards the South by Run No. 84, Square 81, Percival Survey District; again towards the East generally by the said Run No. 84 and Runs Nos. 97 and 59 of Square 81 to the Hanmer River; thence again towards the South by that river and the Waiau River to the confluence of the Boyle River with the
