Proclaiming the Taking and Laying-off of Roads over Lands
in the Auckland Provincial District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and in exercise of all powers and authorities
enabling me in this behalf, I, William Francis Drum-
mond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
do hereby proclaim that the roads described in the Schedule
hereto have been duly taken and laid off through the lands
specified under warrants of the dates given in the said
Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
ALL those parcels of land situated in the Provincial District
of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 12 acres 1 rood
32 perches and 1 rood 23 perches, respectively, more or less,
situated in the Parish of Waipa, in the Karioi Survey
District, and being road-lines, 100 links wide and upwards,
traversing sections Nos. 167 and 173:—
Road containing 12 acres 1 rood 32 perches: Commencing
at a point on the western boundary of Section No. 167 at a
distance of 1404 links or thereabouts from the Waitetuna
River, being the middle of the road above referred to; and
thence continuing southerly generally for a distance of 12500
links or thereabouts to the ford site near the Mangahino
Stream.
Road containing 1 rood 23 perches: Commencing at a
point on the western side of the road hereinbefore described
at a distance of 5521 links or thereabouts from the northern
boundary of Section No. 173, being the middle of the road
above referred to; and thence continuing northerly for a
distance of 393·6 links or thereabouts to the Waitetuna
River: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the
same is delineated on Map No. 3911G, deposited in the
Survey Office, at Auckland.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, containing by admeasurement 14 acres 2 roods 10
perches, more or less, situated in the Parish of Waipa, in
the Karioi Survey District, and being a road-line, 100 links
wide and upwards, traversing Sections Nos. 31, 32, and 66;
commencing at a point on the northern boundary of Section
No. 31 at a distance of 681 links or thereabouts from its
northern angle, being the middle of the road above referred
to; and thence continuing south-westerly and south-easterly
generally for a total distance of 13·460 links or thereabouts
to a point on the northern boundary of Section No. 167 at a
distance of 1404 links or thereabouts from the Waitetuna
River: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the
same is delineated on Map No. 3911F, deposited in the
Survey Office, at Auckland.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, containing by admeasurement 20 acres 3 roods 3 perches,
more or less, situated in the Parish of Waipa, in the Whai-
garoa Survey District, and being a road-line, 100 links wide,
traversing the north-western portion of Section No. 55;
commencing at a point on the line which forms part of the
southern boundary of Sections Nos. 72 and 55 at a distance
to the eastward of southern angle of the former of 2054 links
or thereabouts, being the middle of the road above referred
to; and thence continuing north-easterly generally for a
distance of 20769 links or thereabouts to a point on the
north-eastern boundary of Section No. 55 aforesaid at a
distance of 51 links or thereabouts from the Whaingaroa
River: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the
same is delineated on Map No. 3911C, deposited in the
Survey Office, at Auckland.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, containing by admeasurement 9 acres 1 rood 20 perches,
more or less, situated in the Parish of Waipa, in the Whai-
garoa Survey District, and being a road-line, 100 links wide,
traversing Section No. 72; commencing at a point on the
north-western boundary of Section No. 72 at a distance of
131 links or thereabouts from its westernmost angle, being
the middle of the road above referred to; and thence north-
easterly and south-easterly generally for a total distance of
9380 links or thereabouts to a point on the southern boundary
of the aforesaid section at a distance of 1185 links or there-
abouts to the eastward of its southern angle: be all the
aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated
on Map No. 3911B, deposited in the Survey Office, at
Auckland.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William
Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General
in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of
the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael
and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honour-
able Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral
of the same; and issued under the Seal of the
said Colony, at the Government House, at Wel-
ington, this fifth day of October, in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
seven.
