Proclaiming the Taking and Laying-off of Roads over Lands
in the Auckland Provincial District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and in exercise of all powers and authorities
enabling me in this behalf, I, William Francis Drum-
mond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
do hereby proclaim that the roads described in the Schedule
hereto have been duly taken and laid off through the lands
specified under warrants of the dates given in the said Sche-
dule.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, containing by admeasurement 44 acres 1 rood 25
perches, more or less, situated in the Turanganui and Paritu
Survey Districts, and being a road-line, 100 links wide,
traversing the Maraetaha Block; commencing at a point on
the north-eastern boundary of the Maraetaha Block at a
distance of 13 chains or thereabouts from its northernmost
angle, being the middle of the road above referred to; and
thence continuing south-westerly generally for a distance of
44425 links or thereabouts to the north-eastern boundary of
the Maraetaha No. 1B Block: be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less; as the same is delineated on Maps Nos. 4400A,
4400B, and 4400C, deposited in the Survey Office, Auckland.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, containing by admeasurement 4 perches, more or less,
situated in the Paritu Survey District, and being a portion
of a road-line lying within the north-eastern boundary of
the Maraetaha No. 1B Block; commencing at a point on
the north-eastern boundary of the Maraetaha No. 1B Block
at a distance of 280 links or thereabouts from Road-peg No.
XLIX. Bounded towards the South-west by a line, 39·8
links; towards the South-west by a line, 64·5 links; and
towards the North-east by a line, 84 links, to the com-
mencing-point: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as
the same is delineated on Map No. 4400C, deposited in the
Survey Office, Auckland.
Date of Governor’s warrant, 7th January, 1881.
All those parcels of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, containing by admeasurement 7 acres and 38 perches and
1 acre 3 roods 6·6 perches respectively, more or less, situate
in the Turanganui Survey District, and being road-lines, each
100 links wide, traversing portion of Te Kuri No. 1 Block:—
Road containing 7 acres and 38 perches: Commencing at
a point on the south-western boundary of Te Kuri No. 1
Block at a distance of 1720·5 links or thereabouts from its
southernmost angle, being the middle of the road above
referred to; and thence continuing north-easterly and
northerly generally for a distance of 7240 links or thereabouts
to a point on the north-western boundary of the aforesaid
block at a distance of 820 links or thereabouts from Poverty
Bay.
Road containing 1 acre 3 roods 6·6 perches: Commencing
at a point on the north-western boundary of Te Kuri No. 1
Block at a distance of 1649 links or thereabouts from its
westernmost angle, being the middle of the road above
referred to; and thence continuing south-easterly for a dis-
tance of 1738·5 links or thereabouts to its junction with the
road hereinbefore described: be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less.
As the same are delineated on Map No. 4399, deposited in
the Survey Office, Auckland.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood 38 perches,
more or less, situate in the Turanganui Survey District, and
being a road-line, 100 links wide, traversing Te Kuri No. 1B
Block; commencing at a point on the south-eastern boun-
dary of Te Kuri No. 1B Block at a distance of 820 links or
thereabouts from Poverty Bay, being the middle of the road
above referred to; and thence continuing north-westerly for
a distance of 1491 links or thereabouts to a right line run-
ing in a south-westerly direction from Trig. Station A20,
and at a point on the aforesaid line at a distance of 309·5
links or thereabouts from that station: be all the aforesaid
linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on Map
No. 4399, deposited in the Survey Office, Auckland.
Date of Governor’s warrant, 10th December, 1878.
All those parcels of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, containing by admeasurement 72 acres 2 roods 20
perches and 59 acres 1 rood 20 perches respectively, more or
less, situate in the Whangara Survey District, and being road-
lines, 100 links wide and upwards of 100 links, traversing
portions of the Whangara Block (No. 843):—
Road containing 72 acres 2 roods 20 perches: Commencing
at a point on the western boundary of the Whangara Block
(No. 843) at a distance of 3900 links or thereabouts from the
north-eastern angle of the Waimata East Block, being the
middle of the road above referred to; and thence continuing
south-easterly generally for a distance of 47400 links or
thereabouts to its junction with a road taken under the
Governor’s Proclamation, vide Gazette No. 60, 15th May,
1884, page 789.
Road containing 59 acres 1 rood 20 perches: Commencing
at a point on the middle of the road hereinbefore described
at a distance of 62 chains or thereabouts from its southern
termination, being the middle of the road last above referred
to; and thence continuing north-easterly generally for a dis-
tance of 39350 links or thereabouts to its junction with
another road near the crossing of the Pakarae River: be all
the aforesaid linkages more or less.
As the same are delineated on Maps Nos. 4401A, 4401B,
4401C, and 4401D, deposited in the Survey Office, Auckland.
