vested in him by the one hundred and thirty-fifth
section of “ The Land Act, 1885,” and of every other power
and authority enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said colony, doth hereby declare that the sections of land
enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be set apart for
lease, with right of renewal, under the provisions of Part
IV. of “ The Land Act, 1885.”

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by “ The Public Reserves Sale Act, 1878,”
the land specified in the Schedule hereto was, with
other lands, set apart for sale on deferred payments: And
whereas by an Order in Council issued on the twenty-
second day of May, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
nine, in terms of the said Act, it was directed that the sec-
tion should be disposed of at the price stated therein on
deferred payments: And whereas it is expedient that the
section mentioned in the Schedule hereto should be with-
drawn from the deferred-payment system, with a view to
its being offered under the provisions of Part IV. of “ The
Land Act, 1885,” for perpetual leasing:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance
and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me
by section six of “ The Land Act, 1885,” and of every other
power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf,
do hereby revoke the said Order in Council of the twenty-
second day of May, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
nine, so far as it relates to the section mentioned in the
Schedule hereto, and do proclaim and declare that the said
section is hereby withdrawn from the deferred-payment
system, in order that it may be disposed of for perpetual
leasing under the provisions of Part IV. of “ The Land Act,
1885.”
