Officer appointed to grant Licenses under Section 15 of
*"The Licensing Act Amendment Act, 1882."

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me in that behalf by "The Licensing Act
Amendment Act, 1882," I, William Francis Drummond
Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby appoint Alpheus Hayes, Esquire, Chairman of the
Licensing Committee of the District of Hakateramea, to
exercise, in terms of section fifteen of the said Act, a special
authority in the granting of publicans' licenses within the dis-
trict the limits of which are defined in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the County of Waimate, contain-
ing by admeasurement 33 acres, more or less. Bounded
towards the North by Section No. 92, Block XIV., Waitaki
Survey District, a road-line, Section No. 93, a road-line, and
Section No. 96; towards the East by the Main South
Railway; towards the South by Section No. 106, a road-line,
Section No. 103, and a road-line; and towards the West by
Section No. 100, a road-line, and Section No. 98: as the
same is delineated on the plan in the Survey Office, Christ-
church.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this ninth day of August, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-seven.
