IT is hereby notified that the under-mentioned section is
open for lease for a term of thirty years, with the right
of renewal for further terms of twenty-one years, and that
applications will be received on Friday, the 4th February,
1887, for the said lease, at the Land Offices, Christchurch
and Timaru, and also by Mr. March, at the Railway Station,
Orari, on Thursday, the 3rd February. The applications
received by Mr. March will bear the same date as those
received at the Land Office, Christchurch :—

Under section 161 of “The Land Act, 1885,” only one
allotment can be held by one person. Every application
shall be accompanied by a statutory declaration, the amount
of the first six months' rent, and a fee of £1 10s. Should
there be more than one application on the same day for this
section, the right to occupy shall be determined by lot. Maps
may be seen and forms can be obtained at the Crown Lands
Offices, Christchurch and Timaru.

1885,” and the Regulations issued by the Governor under
the Authority of the said Section, and published in
“Gazette” No. 45, 2nd September, 1886.—Land District

The only charge for the lease will be a fee of 10s. No
selector shall take up more than one allotment. Plans may

also copies of the Village Homestead Special Settle-
ment Regulations may be obtained.

auction, in accordance with section 23 of “The Public
Reserves Act, 1881,” at the Land Office, Christchurch, on
Wednesday, the 9th day of February, 1887, at 12 o'clock
noon :—
