section of “The Thermal-Springs Districts Act, 1881,”
I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

WILLIAM KELLY, Esquire, and
JOHN HENRY TAYLOR, Esquire,

to be Members of the Board constituted the twenty-eighth
day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-three,
to administer the affairs of the Township of Rotorua, esta-
blished under the said Act, in addition to the members
appointed by warrant issued under my hand, on the nine-
teenth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-five.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this sixth day of January, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-seven.

Wairarapa South, are published in accordance with the
provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886.”

TARATAHI-CARTERTON ROAD BOARD.

IN accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’
Loans Act, 1886,” notice is hereby given that the following
is the result of the poll of ratepayers, held at the Lyceum
Hall, Carterton, on the 29th November, 1886, upon the pro-
posal to borrow from the Government the sum of £1,500,
under “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,”
for road-works in No. 6 Subdivision of the Taratahi-Carterton
Road District:—

For the proposal .. 68 ratepayers with 82 votes.
Against the proposal .. 2 ratepayers with 4 votes.
Informal .. .. 2 ratepayers with 2 votes.

As the necessary majority of ratepayers (70) have not voted
for the above proposal, I hereby declare that the same has
been rejected.

NOTICE OF POLL OF RATEPAYERS.

IN accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’
Loans Act, 1886,” notice is hereby given that the following
is the result of the poll of ratepayers, held at Mr. J. V.
Wilkerson’s house, Kokotau, on Wednesday, the 8th day of
December, 1886, upon the proposal to borrow from the
Government the sum of £150, under “The Government
Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” for road-works in No. 2
Subdivision of the Taratahi-Carterton Road District, for
Woodland Road, viz.:—

For the proposal .. 5 ratepayers with 7 votes.
Against the proposal .. Nil.

As the necessary majority of ratepayers (4) have voted for
the above proposal, I hereby declare that the same has been
carried.

ber, 1886, upon the proposal to borrow from the Government
the sum of £50, under “The Government Loans to Local
Bodies Act, 1886,” for road-works in No. 2 Subdivision of the
Taratahi-Carterton Road District, for Opuakaio Road, viz.:—

For the proposal .. 2 ratepayers with 3 votes.
Against the proposal .. Nil.

As the necessary majority of ratepayers (2) have voted for
the above proposal, I hereby declare that the same has been
carried.

G. Beard’s cottage, Whyte’s Line, on Tuesday, the 7th day of
December, 1886, upon the proposal to borrow from the Go-
vernment the sum of £400, under “The Government Loans
to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” for road-works in No. 2 Sub-
division, for Somerset Road, viz.:—

For the proposal .. 11 ratepayers with 13 votes.
Against the proposal .. Nil.

As the necessary majority of ratepayers (8) have voted for
the above proposal, I hereby declare that the same has been
carried.
