All that parcel of land situate in the Town of Lyttelton, Provincial District of Canterbury, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, fronting to the extent of 4 chains on the road reserved on the east side of Sections Nos. 187, 188, and 189, and extending back easterly 2½ chains in a rectangular block.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-sixth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven.

Trustees appointed for the Maintenance of the Methven (Mount Hutt) Public Cemetery.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the forty-fifth section of “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the local authority specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto to have the control and management of the public cemetery specified in the second column of the said Schedule, in the place of J. Jackson, W. McMillan, C. S. Mackie, G. H. Alington, and C. S. Alington, resigned.

The Mount Hutt Road Board. METHVEN. All that parcel of land in the Spaxton Survey District, Provincial District of Canterbury, viz., 5 acres, more or less, bounded Northward by a road-line, 374 links; Eastward and Southward by Rural Section No. 30312, distances respectively of 1335 and 374 links; and Westward by a line parallel to eastern boundary, 1335 links: and numbered 2612 (in red).

Application for Registration of a Trade Mark.

NOTICE is hereby given that EDWIN HELLARD CREASE, of Wellington, in the Colony of New Zealand, Coffee and Spice Merchant and Manufacturer, has applied to register, under “The Trade Marks Act, 1866,” the trade mark of which the following is a description, viz.:—

Description of Trade Mark.

On a paper label, and in the first division thereof measuring about five and a half inches by three and a quarter inches, are printed at top the words “One pound full weight,” also a picture representing Her Majesty Queen Victoria. Below this is a band forming a triangular part, and having the words “Jubilee A1 Coffee” printed thereon. At foot, on a rectangular part, are printed the words “Prepared by E. H. Crease, Wellington, N.Z.”

The second division is about five and a half inches by two and a quarter inches, and has thereon a picture of E. H. Crease’s Coffee and Spice Works, with a medal at each corner.

The third division measures about five and a half inches by three and a half inches. The words “Crease’s Full Weight” are printed at the top. Below this is a picture showing a lady standing upon a weighing-machine. The words “A1 Coffee” are printed at foot.

The fourth division has two triangular parts, one having the words “E. H. Crease, Coffee, Spice, and Rice Mills,” and the other “Old Custom House St., Wellington, N.Z.,” printed thereon. Also a diagonal part, containing an advertisement relative to “Crease’s Jubilee A1 Coffee.”

The entire label is printed in seven colours, and consists of four divisions, designed to cover the four sides of an oblong
