Defining the Middle Line of a Further Portion of the Edendale-Toitois Branch of the Waitaki-Bluff Railway —Glenham Section.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Edendale-Toitois Branch of the Waitaki-Bluff Railway is one of the railways specified in the First Schedule to “The Public Works Act, 1879,” and which Act is, in the seventh section thereof, declared to be a special Act authorizing the construction of such railway; and such railway is unfinished, and it has been determined to construct and maintain a further portion of the same, namely, Glenham Section:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the aforesaid section seven of “The Public Works Act, 1879,” and by sections one hundred and twenty-nine and one hundred and thirty of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and in exercise of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of the said further portion of the said railway shall be as defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

COMMENCING at a point in Section No. 14, Block V., Wyndham Survey District, distant about 1½ chains in a south-westerly direction from the south-west corner of Section No. 3, Block VI., Wyndham Survey District, being the termination of the Mokoreta Contract; and proceeding thence in a generally southerly direction for a distance of 1 mile 63 chains or thereabouts; and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, &c.: Wyndham Survey District—Block V., Sections Nos. 14, 9, 1, 15, 5, and 13; Block VI., Pre-emptive Right No. 6773; and terminating at a point in said Pre-emptive Right No. 6773 distant about 2 chains in a north-easterly direction from the south-west corner of said Pre-emptive Right No. 6773; all within the Provincial District of Otago, and Colony of New Zealand; including all adjoining and intervening places, land, roads, reserves, streams, and watercourses; in the manner delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 14234, deposited in the office of the Registrar of the Supreme Court, at Invercargill, in the Provincial District of Otago; the total length being 1 mile 63 chains or thereabouts.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twelfth day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven.

Proclaiming the Taking and Laying-off of Roads over Lands in the Auckland Provincial District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and in exercise of all powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim that the roads described in the Schedule hereto have been duly taken and laid off through the lands specified under warrants of the dates given in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 8 acres 3 roods 8 perches, more or less, situate partly in the Waitoa Survey District and partly in the Maungakawa Survey District, being a road-line, 100 links wide, traversing the Mangateparu Block; commencing on the south-western boundary of the Mangateparu Block at a distance of 6114 links or thereabouts from the Mangahaumia Stream, being the middle of the road above referred to; and thence continuing northerly for a distance of 8804 links or thereabouts to another road: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the Plan No. 3611A, deposited in the Survey Office, Auckland.

Date of warrant, 23rd October, 1883.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 14 acres 1 rood 22 perches, more or less, situate in the Maungakawa Survey District, being a road-line, 100 links wide, traversing the Motumaocho No. 2 Block; commencing on the south-eastern boundary of the Te Mimi Block at a distance of
