NOTICE UNDER “THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1882,” AND AMENDMENTS.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Wallace County Council intend to take part of Section No. 102, Taringatura District, for a road, and that the said Council have caused a plan to be prepared showing the land required to be taken for the same, together with the names of the owners and occupier of such land, as far as they can be ascertained, and that such plan is deposited at the office of the said Council, Riverton, and open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours; and all persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of such work or the taking of such lands, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Wallace County Council, at their office at Riverton.

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” that, the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Sydenham (hereinafter called “the Council”) propose to take, under the provisions of the said Act and of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1886,” for the purpose of widening and straightening two streets in the Borough of Sydenham, namely, Gibbon Street and the Hazelden Road, the several parcels of land mentioned in the Schedule hereto.
Two plans marked A and B respectively, showing the streets to be widened and the lands required to be taken for that purpose, together with the names of the several owners and occupiers of such lands, so far as they can be ascertained, can be seen at the Council’s offices, Bowen Street, Sydenham, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on each day, excepting Saturdays, and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. till noon.
All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections they may have to the proposed widening and straightening of the said streets or either of them, or to the taking of the lands required for that purpose; and such objections must be delivered at the Council’s offices within forty days from the first publication of this notice, namely, from the 21st day of July, 1887.

PETONE TOWN BOARD.
“THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1882.”
NOTICE is hereby given that plans, duly prepared, showing part of a new road from Jackson Street, Petone, to the main Hutt Road, proposed to be made by the Petone Town Board, and showing the proposed widening of Jackson Street at its present western end, are open for inspection at the house of the Ranger to the Petone Town Board, next to the office of the Petone Town Board, in Jackson Street, Petone.
The land proposed to be taken for the continuation of the said new road is a strip of land 66ft. wide, containing 1 rood and 14 perches, extending from the public road 30 links wide to the main road, and running through part of Section No. 3, Hutt District, owned by Henare te Puni, and leased by the Gear Meat-preserving and Freezing Company of New Zealand (Limited).
The land proposed to be taken for the widening of Jackson Street at its present western end is a triangular piece containing 2·6 perches, being part of Allotment No. 125 on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Wellington as No. 59, bounded on its western side by part of Section No. 4, Hutt District, owned by the Gear Meat-preserving and Freezing Company of New Zealand (Limited), 19·7 links, having Jackson Street for its northern boundary, and running to a point at the corner of Jackson Street and Victoria Street, which said parcel of land is owned and occupied by Mr. Peter Smith.
All persons affected by the proposed works are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-founded objections to the execution of such works or to the taking of such lands, and to send such writing within forty days from the 19th day of July, 1887, to the Petone Town Board.
