THE following special order, made by the Manawatu Road Board, is published in accordance with “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

COPY of SPECIAL ORDER passed by the Manawatu Road Road Board, Thursday, 9th June, 1887.

RESOLVED, That the following special rates be levied within the Manawatu Road District, viz.: To provide for the payment of interest and other annual charges on a loan of £2,200 for road construction in Fitzherbert West, a special rate of three-eighths of a penny in the pound on the rateable value of all the properties in No. 5 Ward, with the exception of the following, viz., Sections Nos. 179 to 188, 255, 257 to 259, 261, 263, 285 to 288, 208, 209, 138 to 155, 62, 63, 65 to 76, 78 to 84, 18 to 21, 47 to 57, all inclusive, the whole of the Townships of Fitzherbert and Linton, and all Crown and Native lands within the meaning of “The Crown and Native Lands Rating Act, 1882;” and, to provide for the payment of interest on a loan of £300 for the reconstruction of the Kohuterawa Bridge, a special rate of one-twentieth of a penny in the pound on the rateable value of the same properties. To provide for the payment of interest on a loan of £640 for the construction of Upper Longburn Road, a special rate of three-eighths of a penny in the pound on the rateable value of the following properties, viz., parts 2 and 22 of Section No. 14, parts 3 and 21 of Section No. 355, part 20 of Section No. 354 and Section No. 13, Karere, Sections Nos. 1546 to 1548, 1551 to 1557, 1570, 1574 to 1577, 1580 to 1587, 1604 to 1616, Kairanga, all inclusive. Each of the said rates to be an annually-recurring rate for a period of twenty-six years, and shall be payable at the office of the Board in two instalments, on the 1st day of May and the 1st day of November in each year.

I hereby certify that the above special order was duly passed as required by section 76 of “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

THE following special order, made by the Upper Wangaehu Road Board, is published in accordance with “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

SPECIAL ORDER.

THAT a special order be now made, levying a special rate of three-eighths of a penny in the pound on the capital value of all property within the Upper Wangaehu Road District liable to be specially rated under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,” and “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886;” such rate to be for the purpose of providing interest for a loan of £2,000 obtained under the said Acts, and shall be an annually-recurring rate, leviable, if required, year by year (payable in one sum), commencing on the 1st day of May, 1888, and on the same day of each year following until the loan in respect of which the said rate is made is paid off.

This is to certify that a special order, of which the above is a correct copy, was duly passed at a special meeting of the Upper Wangaehu Road Board, held this 21st day of June, 1887.
