And whereas by the said Act it is provided that such scales
of tolls may from time to time be revoked or altered:
And whereas it is desirable that the scale of tolls so fixed
as aforesaid should be revoked in manner hereinafter appear-
ing:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and
exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the
said Act, do hereby revoke and annul the said scale of tolls
as from the first day of July next, inclusive of such day, and
in lieu thereof do hereby fix and appoint the rates of tolls
set forth in the Schedule hereto as the scale of tolls to be
paid for passing or re-passing through, over, or upon the
said Gorge Bridge; and do further direct that such scale of
tolls shall come into operation and have full force and effect
on and from the first day of July now next ensuing.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this sixth day
of June, 1887.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
was vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and in-
habitants of the Southland County Council by Order in
Council issued on the twenty-second day of July, one thou-
sand eight hundred and seventy-nine: And whereas it is
desirable to define the purposes for which the said reserve
was vested:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and con-
sent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in
exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him
by the fourth section of "The Public Reserves Act, 1881,"
doth hereby declare that the purposes for which the reserve
aforesaid is vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and in-
habitants of the Southland County Council shall be for a
ferry and landing-place for goods and passengers on the
Mataura River, at Fortrose.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago,
containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being
Section No. 1, Block III., Town of Fortrose. Bounded

towards the North-west by Firth Street, 500 links; towards
the North-east by Neva Street, 42 links; towards the South-
east by Lewis Street, 500 links; and towards the South-
west by Moray Terrace, 157 and 200 links: as the same
is delineated on the plan deposited in the Survey Office,
Invercargill.

IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities
vested in him by "The Agricultural and Pastoral Soci-
ties Act, 1877," His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby incorporate
the members of the Clutha and Matau Agricultural and
Pastoral Society into a corporate body under the said Act,
under the style and title of "The Clutha and Matau Agri-
cultural and Pastoral Society."

Extension of Time for preparing Waipa County Rolls.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS it has been made to appear that, owing to
unavoidable circumstances, the preparation of the
rolls for the County of Waipa, and the taking of certain
steps consequent on such preparation, cannot be made and
taken within the times limited by "The Counties Act, 1886,"
and it is expedient to extend the said times respectively:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers
conferred upon him by the said Act, and by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, doth hereby order and declare that the several dates
mentioned in the second column of the Schedule hereto shall
be the respective dates for taking the several steps set
opposite such times in the first column of the said Schedule
respectively.
