Special Order made by Wallace County Council.—Altering Ridings.

THE following special order, made by the Wallace County Council, is published in accordance with “The Counties Act, 1886.”

SPECIAL ORDER made by Wallace County Council, altering the Boundaries of Aparima, Otatau, and Waiau Ridings of Wallace County.

WHEREAS it is expedient that the boundaries of Waiau, Otatau, and Aparima Ridings of Wallace County be altered, therefore this Council, by special order, alters the boundaries of the aforesaid ridings, and defines them as described in the Schedule hereto. This special order to take effect on and after the 1st July, 1887.

Schedule.

Waiau Riding.—Bounded towards the North-east by Manawhapouri Lake, the Waiau River, and the Whare Creek; towards the East by east boundary of Runs 173 and 166A, and the Wairio Riding, to the north-west corner of Block IV., Aparima Hundred; thence eastward by north boundary of said Block IV. to road-line east of Section 20 of said block; again on the East by road-line east of Sections 20 to 28 and 1 of said block; again on the North by north boundary of Block III., Aparima Hundred; again on the East by east boundary of said Block III.; towards the South by the south boundary of said Block III. and said boundary extended westward to Longwood Survey District; again on the West by Longwood Survey District to Ferdunlaw; again on the South by the Orepuki Riding; towards the South-east by the Waiau River; towards the South, South-west, and South-east by the ocean; and towards the west by Fiord County.

Otatau Riding. — Bounded on the North by part of Taringatura and Wairio Survey Districts; on the West by the Waiau Riding, hereinbefore described, and the Longwood Survey District to the north-west corner of Jacob’s River Hundred; thence on the South by the north boundary of Jacob’s River Hundred to Jacob’s River; then following Jacob’s River to south-west corner of Section 1, Block XIV., Jacob’s River Hundred; again on the South by (Trig. E) road-line south of Blocks XIV. and XV., Jacob’s River Hundred, and road south of Sections 25 and 69, and continued to the south-east corner of Section 182, Oreti Hundred; and on the East by the Southland County.

Aparima Riding.—Bounded on the North by the Otatau Riding, hereinbefore described; on the East by the Southland County; towards the South, South-east, and again towards the South by the ocean, Jacob’s River Estuary, and the Pourapourakino River to the north-western corner of Block III., Jacob’s River Hundred, and by a right line due west to the Longwood Survey District; and towards the West by the Longwood Survey District.

SPECIAL ORDER.

THIS is to certify that, at a meeting of the Upper Wangaehu Road Board, held at Mangamahu on the 7th April, 1887, the following special order was proposed and duly carried:—

That a special order be made levying a special rate of three-eighths of a penny in the pound on the capital value of all property within the Upper Wangaehu Road District liable to be specially rated under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,” and “The Government Loans to Local Bodies’ Act, 1886.”

I hereby certify that the above special order was made at a special meeting of the Richmond Town Board, held on Tuesday, the 8th February, 1887, and confirmed at a special meeting held on the 8th March, and that all requirements according to law have been complied with.

I hereby certify that the special order for adopting “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,” was duly passed at a meeting of the Board, held on the 13th February, 1887, and that all the requirements of “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” relating to special orders were duly complied with.

  1. THAT the special district for the proposed water-supply shall be as hereinafter named:—

All the Mount Eden Road District within the limits of the north-east and western boundaries, from the boundary at Gaol Road and Lot 103, Section 6, and to a line commencing at the south-east corner of Lot 47, Section 6, to Mount Eden Road; thence along the dividing line between Lot 6 and Lots 104A and 104B to angle of east end of Prospect Terrace, and along that road to Mount Roskill Road, to a line between Lot 135 (Hirst’s) and Bellwood, Lots 135 and 136, on to the western boundary of the district, at the point named on the plan of the district as Chatham Street; thence to the dividing line of Eden Terrace Road District, on to the Mount Eden Road.
