ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this thirtieth day of May, 1887.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS a petition in terms of sections forty-two and forty-three of “The Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1885,” has been presented to His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand from not less than fifty subscribers to St. Andrew’s Orphanage, Nelson, praying that the said institution may be incorporated as a separate institution under the said Act:
And whereas the substance of the said petition was gazetted on the twenty-first day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, and no counter-petition has been received by the Colonial Secretary, or objection lodged with him by the District Board, within one month from the date of such publication:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise and in pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1885,” doth hereby declare the contributors for the time being to the said institution to be a body politic and corporate, by the style and title of “The St. Andrew’s Orphanage Contributors.”

Defining the Purpose of a Portion of a Reserve.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this first day of June, 1887.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is now vested in Her Majesty, being portion of a reserve made by Order in Council issued on the twelfth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-six, for General Government purposes: And whereas it is desirable that the said land should be dealt with as provided by “The Public Reserves Act, 1881:”
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the fifth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” and all other powers and authorities enabling me in that behalf, do hereby declare and define that the purposes for which the said land described in the Schedule hereto shall, from and after the day of the date hereof, be dedicated shall be for police purposes.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Taranaki, containing by admeasurement 2 roods, more or less, being part of Block XXXVII. on the map of the Town of Patea, Carlyle Survey District. Bounded on the North-west by a street, 250 links; on the North-east by Derby Street, 200 links; on the South-east and South-west by other part of Block XXXVII., 250 links and 200 links respectively.
