IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND, WELLINGTON DISTRICT.

In the matter of “The Gold-mining Companies Act, 1872,” and in the matter of the Golden Eagle Gold-mining Company (Limited).

NOTICE is hereby given that the schedule, showing the realized amount of assets, including the contributions and liabilities of the above company, the amount of moneys available for the claims in the matter of the winding-up, and the proposed plan of distribution thereof, is open in my office at No. 31, Lambton Quay, in the City of Wellington, for inspection by the contributors to and creditors of the company; and that the claims mentioned in the said schedule will, after the lapse of twenty-one days from the publication of this notice, be paid at my said office.

Dated this twelfth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven.

In the matter of the Accident Insurance Association of New Zealand.

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named association, duly convened and held at the association’s offices, High Street, Dunedin, on Monday, the 4th day of April, 1887, at 3 o’clock in the afternoon, the following resolution was duly passed:—

“That the Accident Insurance Association of New Zealand be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of ‘The Companies Act, 1882,’ and the amending Acts; and that Edward Smith, of Christchurch, in the Provincial District of Canterbury, Importer, and George Esther, of Dunedin, in the Provincial District of Otago, Gentleman, be appointed Liquidators for the purposes of such winding-up; and that the sum of £150 be paid to the said Liquidators as their remuneration.”

And at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the members of the said association, also duly convened and held at the same place and hour, on Tuesday, the 3rd day of May, 1877, the above resolution was duly confirmed.

NOTICE.

THE NEW ZEALAND IRON AND STEEL COMPANY (LIMITED), IN LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that an Extraordinary General Meeting of the above-named company will be held at my office, Fort Street, Auckland, on Monday, the 1st day of August, 1887, at 2.30 o’clock in the afternoon, for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator; and also of determining, by extraordinary resolution, the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the Liquidator thereof shall be disposed of.

THE Partnership hitherto existing between WILLIAM SWINTON LAURIE, ROBERT NAIR RYBURN, and FRANCIS GEORGE LAURIE, under the style or firm of “W. S. Laurie and Co.,” has been this day dissolved, so far as regards Francis George Laurie being a partner of the said firm, by mutual consent.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership lately subsisting between us, the undersigned ROBERT WILLIAM HAMMOND and JAMES HENRY MOORE CARPENTER, carrying on business at Auckland and Newmarket as Coal and Firewood Merchants, under the style or firm of “Hammond and Carpenter,” has, this day, been dissolved by mutual consent. All debts due to or owing by the said late firm will be received and paid by the said Robert William Hammond.

SUBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate of 30s. per annum, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period than three months cannot be subscribed for.

Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.

Advertisements are charged at the uniform rate of 6d. per line for each insertion.

For half-yearly statements under the Mining Act, the charge will be 23s.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

Booksellers and Advertising Agents will be allowed a commission at the rate of 5 per cent.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening in each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before two o’clock of the day preceding publication.

Communications should be addressed to the Government Printer, Wellington, to whom post office money orders should be made payable.

Postage or duty stamps cannot in any case be received in payment from any place at which post office orders are issued.

NO ADVERTISEMENT WILL BE INSERTED WITHOUT PREPAYMENT BEING MADE.
