ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this eleventh day of May, 1887.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order that the road in the County of Tuapeka described in the Schedule below shall, on and after the date above mentioned, become a county road, under the charge and control of the Tuapeka County Council.
SCHEDULE.
THE portion of the Lawrence to Roxburgh and Clyde Road where it crosses the Clutha River, including the bridge known as the Beaumont Bridge.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a public work authorized to be constructed by the Government, to wit, the Foxton–New Plymouth Railway: And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native owners:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and the amendments thereof, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order that the Government work known as the Foxton–New Plymouth Railway shall and may be constructed on or through the parcels of land more particularly mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

Extension of Time for Preparation of Selwyn County Rolls.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this sixteenth day of May, 1887.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it has been made to appear that, owing to unavoidable circumstances, the preparation of the rolls for the County of Selwyn, and the taking of certain steps consequent on such preparation, cannot be made and taken within the times limited by “The Counties Act, 1886,” and it is expedient to extend the said times respectively:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by the said Act, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the several dates mentioned in the second column of the Schedule hereto shall be the respective dates for taking the several steps set opposite such times in the first column of the said Schedule respectively.

Additional Regulations under “The Electric Lines Act, 1884.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this sixteenth day of May, 1887.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Electric Lines Act, 1884,” and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand doth, with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, make the regulation contained in the Schedule hereto in relation to the charges to be made for the transmission of “delayed telegrams” on public matters forwarded during the session of Parliament by Members of both Houses of the Legislature; and, in further pursuance and exercise of the said powers, and with the like advice and consent as aforesaid, doth hereby order and declare that such regulation shall take effect on and after the twenty-sixth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, and that it shall be read with and form part of the regulations now in force in respect of such telegrams.
SCHEDULE.
DURING the session of Parliament Members of both Houses of the Legislature may send “delayed telegrams” on public matters at the following rates:—
