Land set apart on Deferred Payments in Canterbury.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the one hundred and fourth section of
"The Land Act, 1885," it is enacted that the
Governor, by Proclamation in the Gazette, may from time to
time set apart out of any suburban or rural lands such
blocks or allotments of land as he shall think fit, and set the
same aside for sale on deferred payments, and in such Pro-
clamation may fix a day on which the land shall be open
for application; and that he may also in like manner set
apart for sale on deferred payments such blocks or allot-
ments as may be recommended by any Land Board, and may
also from time to time alter, amend, or revoke any such Pro-
clamation:

And whereas the Land Board of Canterbury has passed a
resolution recommending that the land described in the
Schedule hereto annexed should be set apart for sale on
deferred payments:

And whereas it is expedient to give effect to the aforesaid
recommendation, and to set apart the said land accordingly:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance
and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the
above-named Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the
land described in the Schedule hereto is set apart for sale
on deferred payments; and that Wednesday, the first day of
June, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, shall be
the day on which the said land shall be open for applica-
tion, in allotments as surveyed and marked on the selection
map in the principal land office of the district.

Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable
Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-
Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral
of the same; and issued under the Seal of the
said Colony, at the Government House, at Wel-
lngton, this third day of May, in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
seven.

Village Homestead Special-settlement Land upon the Per-
petual-leasing System in Canterbury withdrawn.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the sixth section of "The Land
Act, 1885," I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare
that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the Pro-
clamation of the twenty-sixth day of November, one thou-
sand eight hundred and eighty-six, by His Excellency the
Governor, setting apart sections of land for a village home-
stead special settlement on perpetual lease, shall be and the
same is hereby revoked in so far as it relates to the sections
of land enumerated in the Schedule hereto.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon
me by the one hundred and sixty-second section of
"The Land Act, 1885," I, William Francis Drummond
Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby proclaim and declare that the sections of land
described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are
hereby set apart and declared open for application as a village
homestead special settlement for perpetual leasing, upon the
terms and conditions fixed by an Order in Council issued on
the first day of September, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-six, and made under the one hundred and sixty-third
section of the said Act.

Road in Buller County, Provincial District of Nelson.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it is desirable, for the use, convenience, and
enjoyment of the public work known as the main
road between Westport and Lyell, in the County of Buller,
to take, purchase, and acquire the lands mentioned in the
Schedule hereto:

And whereas the Buller County Council has laid before
the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, and also
the statutory declaration, required by the said Act and the
amendments thereof:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by
"The Public Works Act, 1882," and of every other power
and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do
hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date
of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the
lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken
for the purposes of the construction of the said road.
