THE following special order, made by the Okain’s Bay
Road Board, is published in accordance with “The
Road Boards Act, 1882.”

SPECIAL ORDER made by the Okain’s Bay District Road
Board, at a Special Meeting of the said Board, held at
11 o’clock on Saturday, the 16th April, 1887.
That the Board do levy a special rate of three-sixteenths of a
penny in the pound on the rateable value of all of the pro-
perty in that part of the district set apart for the payment of
interest of a loan of £550, under “The Local Bodies’ Loans
Act, 1886,” and “The Government Loans to Local Bodies
Act, 1886;” such rate to be an annual-recurring rate
for the term of twenty-six years, and to be payable on the
30th day of June in each year.
I hereby certify that the above special order has been duly
made by the Okain’s Bay District Road Board, in con-
formity with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act,
1882,” and its amendments.

THE following notice of proposed loan, received from the
Chairman of the Okain’s Bay Road Board, is published
in accordance with “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886.”

NOTICE of Proposed Loan, Part of the Okain’s Road
Board District, described as the Okain’s Part of the
District.—Proposal to raise £500 by Loan from Govern-
ment for Roadwork in this Part of the District.
I HEREBY notify that, at a poll taken on Tuesday, the 30th
November, 1887, the votes recorded were as follows:—
For the proposal .. .. .. 33
Against the proposal .. .. .. 3
A majority in number of the ratepayers of the above part
of the district having recorded their votes in favour of the
proposal, and the number so voting being entitled to more
than one-half in number of the votes which can be exercised
by the whole number of ratepayers, I hereby declare the
resolution in favour of the proposal duly carried.

APRIL 2, 1887.—At the monthly meeting of the Northcote
Road Board it was resolved, That the special order for
increasing this Board to seven members, of which notice was
given at last monthly meeting, and which has been duly
advertised as required, be now passed, and forwarded to the
Colonial Secretary for Gazette notice.
I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed
unanimously, and that nominations to meet the increase will
be received this day (25th April), and the election will take
place on Monday next, the 2nd May, 1887.
