ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this thirteenth day of April, 1887.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section fourteen of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” it is enacted that, if it is found that any land held, taken, purchased, or acquired at any time under that Act or any other Act or provincial ordinance, or otherwise however, for public works, is not required for public use, the Governor may, by an Order in Council, publicly notified and gazetted, cause the same to be sold under the conditions therein set forth:
And whereas the Minister for Public Works has laid before the Governor the memorial referred to in the section aforesaid, praying the Governor, by an Order in Council, to cause the land mentioned in the said memorial to be sold:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities aforesaid, do hereby order and authorize the land described in the Schedule hereto to be sold and dealt with in the manner and subject to the conditions of the fourteenth and following sections of the above in part recited Act.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this thirteenth day of April, 1887.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by an Order in Council issued on the first day of February, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, under the provisions of “The Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1885” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), the Society for the Relief of the Aged Needy, Wellington, was incorporated as a separate institution under the said Act, by the style and title of “The Society for the Relief of the Aged Needy Contributors:”
And whereas it is expedient to alter the style and title of the said society as conferred by the said recited Order in Council:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise and pursuance of the powers conferred by the said Act, and “The Interpretation Act, 1878,” and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby order and declare that the style and title of the said society shall be “The Wellington Society for Relief of the Aged Needy,” and that the said recited Order in Council of the first day of February last shall be and be deemed to be amended accordingly.

Vesting Gravel Reserves in the Corporation of the City of Christchurch.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this thirteenth day of April, 1887.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto were reserved for gravel-pits: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said lands in the Corporation of the City of Christchurch:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the said reserves shall become vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and citizens of the City of Christchurch, in trust, for gravel-pits.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Selwyn Survey District, Provincial District of Canterbury, containing 72 acres, more or less. Bounded North-eastward by Section No. 18160; Westward by a road-line; South-westward by Section No. 33576; and South-eastward by a road-line: and numbered 2433 (in red) on the official map in the Survey Office, Christchurch.
Also all that area in the Selwyn Survey District, Provincial District of Canterbury, containing 28 acres, more or less. Bounded North-eastward by Reserve No. 1762 (in red); North-westward by a road-line; South-westward by Section No. 33579; and South-eastward by a road-line and by Reserve No. 288 (in red): and numbered 2434 (in red) on the official map in the Survey Office, Christchurch.
