All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, containing by admeasurement 14 acres 2 roods 12 perches, more or less, situate in the Table Hill District, and being Section No. 38 of Block V. of the said district. Bounded towards the North by Section No. 17 of Block VII. of the said district, 4668 links; and towards the South-east, South, and South-west by a road-line, 1046, 958, 594, 1705, and 658 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a school-site.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, containing by admeasurement 8 acres 3 roods 26 perches, more or less, situate in the Town of Waipori, and being Section No. 8 of Block II. of the said town. Bounded towards the North by Crown lands, 756 links; towards the East by Crown lands, 1520 links; towards the South-west by Flodden Street 258 and 305 links, also by Section No. 7 of the said block 463 links; towards the South-east by the said Section No. 7, 174 links; towards the West by Crown lands, 810 links; and towards the North-west by Section No. 7 of the said block, 119 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a school-site.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, containing by admeasurement 10 acres, more or less, situate in the Naseby District, and being Section No. 3 of Block X. of the said district. Bounded towards the North by Crown lands, 1000 links; towards the East by Crown lands, 1000 links; towards the South by a road-line, 1000 links; and towards the West by Crown lands, 1000 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a school-site.

Fixing Shooting Season for Imported Game, License Fee, &c., Auckland District.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by “The Animals Protection Act, 1880,” and the Acts amending the same, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify that pheasants, Californian quail, and Australian quail may be taken or killed within the Auckland District, consisting of the Auckland Provincial District, excepting the Counties of Cook, Tauranga, Rotorua, Whakatane, East Taupo, and Wairoa, from the first day of May, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, both inclusive (subject nevertheless to the restrictions in the said Acts mentioned). And I do further notify that licenses to take or kill such game within the said district shall be issued on payment of the sum of thirty shillings each; and the Chief Postmaster at Auckland is hereby appointed to issue and sign the said licenses. And I do further notify that native game (excepting tuis) may be taken or killed within the said district from the first day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, both inclusive.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by “The Animals Protection Act, 1880,” and the Acts amending the same, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify that cock-pheasants, quail, and hares may be taken or killed within the Hawera District, consisting of the Counties of Hawera and Patea, from the first day of May, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, both inclusive (subject nevertheless to the restrictions in the said Acts mentioned). And I do further notify that licenses to take or kill such game within the said district shall be issued on payment of the sum of twenty shillings each, and that licenses to sell such game shall be issued on payment of the sum of five pounds each; and the Postmaster at Hawera is hereby appointed to issue and sign the said licenses. And I do further notify that native game (excepting tuis) may be taken or killed within the said district from the first day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, both inclusive.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by “The Animals Protection Act, 1880,” and the Acts amending the same, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify that cock-pheasants, quail, and hares may be taken or killed within the Wanganui District, consisting of the Counties of Wanganui and Waitotara and the Ridings of Okakapu, Porewa, Wangaehu, Makohau, and Parae Karetu, in the County of Rangitikei, from the first day of May, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, both inclusive (subject nevertheless to the restrictions in the said Acts mentioned). And I do further notify that licenses to take or kill such game within the said district shall be issued on payment of the sum of twenty-one shillings each, and that licenses to sell such game shall be issued on payment of the sum of five pounds each; and the Chief Postmaster at Wanganui, and the Postmasters at Waverley, Waitotara, and Marton, are hereby appointed to issue and sign the said licenses. And I do further notify that native game (excepting tuis) may be taken or killed within the said district from the first day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, both inclusive.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by “The Animals Protection Act, 1880,” and the Acts amending the same, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify that cock-pheasants, quail, red-leg partridges, and hares may be taken or killed in the Counties of Manawatu and Oroua, and the Ridings of Clifton and Rangitoto, in the County of Rangitikei, from the first day of May, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, both inclusive (subject nevertheless to the restrictions in the said Acts mentioned). And I do further notify that licenses to take or kill such game within the said district shall be issued on payment of the sum of twenty shillings each, and that licenses to sell such game shall be issued on payment of the sum of five pounds each; and the Postmasters at Palmerston, Feilding, and Bull’s are hereby appointed to issue and sign the said licenses. And I do further notify that native game (excepting tuis) may be taken or killed within the said district from the first day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, both inclusive.

WHEREAS by warrants made under “The Animals Protection Act, 1880,” and the Acts amending the same, dated the twenty-second day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, it is declared that hares may be taken or killed in the districts comprised in the Counties of Wanganui, Rangitikei, Manawatu, and Oroua from the first day of May, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, until the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, and it is expedient to extend the said period in the manner hereinafter mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare that hares may be hunted with dogs in the said
