ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of February, 1887.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order that the Government work known as the Maungakawa-Waiorongomai Road, in the Waitoa Road District, shall and may be constructed on or through the parcel of land mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

THE parcel of land mentioned hereunder:—

In the Provincial District of Auckland; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 14516, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Fixing Shooting Season for Imported Game, License Fee, &c., Taranaki District.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by “The Animals Protection Act, 1880,” and the Acts amending the same,

I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify that cock-pheasants and hares may be taken or killed within the Taranaki District, consisting of the Counties of Taranaki and Clifton, from the first day of May, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, both inclusive (subject nevertheless to the restrictions in the said Acts mentioned). And I do further notify that licenses to take or kill such game within the said district shall be issued on payment of the sum of twenty shillings each, and that licenses to sell such game shall be issued on payment of the sum of five pounds each; and the Chief Postmaster at New Plymouth is hereby appointed to issue and sign the said licenses. And I do further notify that native game (excepting tuis) may be taken or killed within the said district from the first day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, both inclusive.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this ninth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven.

Shooting Season for Deer, Wellington and Wairarapa District.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by “The Animals Protection Act, 1880,” and “The Animals Protection Act Amendment Act, 1881,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify that deer (bucks or stags only) may be taken or killed within the boundaries of the Wellington and Wairarapa District Acclimatisation Society’s District, from the first day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, till the tenth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, both days inclusive, subject, however, to the restrictions in the said Acts mentioned. And I do further notify that licenses to take or kill such game may be obtained from the Chief Postmaster at Wellington on payment of the sum of one pound each; and that the said Postmaster is hereby appointed to issue and sign the said licenses: Provided nevertheless that nothing herein contained shall extend to authorize any person to sell any deer or portion thereof under any license so obtained as aforesaid.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this ninth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven.

Vaccination Stations appointed, Onehunga, Patea, Masterton, Hampden, and Blueskin Districts.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by “The Public Health Act, 1876,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the several places mentioned in the second column of the Schedule hereto as and to be the places at which the Public Vaccinators appointed for the respective districts mentioned in the first column of the said Schedule shall attend for the performance of vaccination, as required by the said Act; and I do hereby give notice that each such Public Vaccinator will attend at the respective places aforesaid, for the purpose of performing such vaccination, on the days and at the hours set forth in the third column of the said Schedule opposite the name of each such place; and, further, that at each such place as last aforesaid the Public Vaccinator will attend, for the purpose of inspecting the progress of such vaccination in the persons so vaccinated, on the days and at the hours respectively set forth in the fourth column of the said Schedule opposite the name of each such place.

SCHEDULE.

Onehunga.. The residence of Dr. Scott, Onehunga Every Thursday, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Every Thursday, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m.
Patea The residence of Dr. Buckby, Egmont Street, Patea First Tuesday in each month, at 2 p.m. Second Tuesday in each month, at 2 p.m.
Masterton.. The residence of Mr. H. E. Eton, Queen Street, Masterton Every Wednesday, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Every Wednesday, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Hampden The Schoolroom at Hampden The first Saturday in May and November, from 2.30 to 3 p.m. The second Saturday in May and November, from 2.30 to 3 p.m.
Blueskin .. The residence of Mr. Davidson, Waitati First Wednesday in each month, from 12.30 p.m. until 1.30 p.m. Second Wednesday in each month, from 12.30 p.m. until 1.30 p.m.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this tenth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven.
