As the majority of ratepayers is against the proposal, I

Kiwitea Road Board, County of Oroua, is published in
accordance with the provisions of "The Local Bodies' Loans
Act, 1886."

KIWITEA ROAD BOARD.
NOTICE is hereby given, in accordance with "The Local
Bodies' Loans Act, 1886," that the following is the result of
the poll of ratepayers, taken on Friday, the 18th February,
1887, on the proposal to raise two loans of £3,000 and £1,968
respectively:—
WANGANUI HARBOUR BOARD DIVISION.—FOR LOAN OF
£3,000.
Number of votes recorded:—
For the proposal .. 29 ratepayers, representing 29 votes.
Against the proposal .. 1 ratepayer, representing 2 votes.
Number of votes on roll, 65.
As the number of ratepayers voting in favour of the pro-
posal are less than one-half the number of votes which can
be exercised by the whole of the ratepayers, I declare the
proposal rejected.
OLD KIWITEA AND WAITUNA DIVISION.—FOR LOAN OF £1,968.
Number of votes recorded:—
For proposal .. 61 ratepayers, representing 80 votes.
Against proposal .. 1 ratepayer, representing 1 vote.
Number of votes on roll, 114.
As a majority in number of ratepayers voted in favour of the
proposal, and the number so voting are entitled to more than
half the number of votes which can be exercised by the whole
of the ratepayers, I declare the proposal carried.

NOTICE is hereby given that the following is the result of
the poll of ratepayers of the Gladstone-Wainuiofu Special
Rating District, taken at Mr. Cooper's homestead, Taipos,
Wainuiofu, on the 26th day of February, 1887, upon the
proposal to borrow £600 under "The Government Loans to
Local Bodies Act, 1886," for the purpose of completing the
said road, and to strike a special rate of 7/9 of a penny
in the pound:—
For the proposal .. .. 5 ratepayers, with 24 votes.
Against the proposal .. .. Nil.
Votes not exercised .. .. 1 ratepayer, with 5 votes.

As a majority of the total number of ratepayers having
a majority of the total number of votes exercisable did vote in
favour of the proposal, I declare that the same has been duly
carried.

ROAD.
NOTICE is hereby given that the following is the result of the
poll of the ratepayers of the Martinborough-Pahaua Road
Special Rating District, taken at the Table Lands, near
Martinborough, on the 24th day of February instant, upon
the proposal to borrow £650 under "The Government Loans
to Local Bodies Act, 1886," for completion of the said
road, and to strike a special rate of 5/4 of a penny in the
pound:—
For the proposal .. .. 8 ratepayers, with 35 votes.
Against the proposal .. .. Nil.
Votes not exercised .. .. 2 ratepayers, with 7 votes.
As a majority of the total number of ratepayers having
a majority of the total number of votes exercisable did vote
in favour of the proposal, I declare that the same has been
duly carried.

purpose vested, I, the Commissioner of Trade and
Customs, do, by this order under my hand, revoke and annul
the appointment of the under-mentioned warehouses for the
reception and security of goods entered to be warehoused
without payment of duty upon the first entry thereof,
