respectively, all and every the several proceedings of yourselves had by virtue of these presents.

And, lastly, We do by these presents ordain that this our commission shall continue in full force and virtue until the close of the said Exhibition, and that you, our said Commissioners, or any three or more of you, shall and may from time to time, and at any place or places, proceed in the execution thereof, and of every matter and thing therein contained, although the same be not continued from time to time by adjournment; and for the purpose of aiding you in such matters We hereby appoint our trusty and well-beloved Sir Herbert Bruce Sandford, Knight, Lieutenant-Colonel and Honorary Colonel on the Retired List of our Army, to be Secretary to this our Commission.

Given at our Court, at St. James’s, the twenty-ninth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, in the fiftieth year of our reign.

SIR,—In compliance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,” I have the honour to forward, for publication in the Gazette, the following results of polls taken under the same:—

CLINTON RIDING DISTRICT.

Poll taken the 19th February, on the proposal to borrow £800 for the construction of roads and works:—

For the proposal .. .. .. 84 votes.
Against the proposal .. .. None.

And, as a majority in number of the ratepayers did not vote in favour of the proposal, I hereby declare the said proposal to be rejected.

Poll taken the 19th February, on the proposal to borrow £850 for the construction of roads and works:—

And, as a majority in number of the ratepayers did not vote in favour of the proposal, I hereby declare the said proposal to be rejected.

And, as a majority in number of the ratepayers did not vote in favour of the proposal, I hereby declare the said proposal to be rejected.

GREY COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE is hereby given that the result of the poll taken under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1866,” in a portion of the Brunnerton Riding, Grey County, on Saturday, the 19th day of February, 1887, on the proposal of the Grey County Council to borrow the sum of £2,500 for the construction of a foot-bridge across the Grey River, between Wallsend and Taylorville, and for the formation of a street from the western boundary of Dobson Town, through Dobson Town, Wallsend, and Brunnerton to the eastern end of the railway tunnel, is as follows:—

Votes for the proposal .. .. .. 247
Votes against the proposal .. .. 2
Informal votes .. .. .. 2
Total number of votes on roll, 319.

As the number of votes in favour of the proposal exceeds one-half of the total number of votes which can be exercised, I do hereby declare the proposal to be carried.
