Special Order made by Featherston Road Board, County of Wairarapa South.—Constituting Special Rating Districts.

THE following special order, made by the Featherston Road Board, County of Wairarapa South, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886.”

EDWARD RICHARDSON,

SPECIAL ORDER made by the Featherston Road Board, at a Meeting of the said Board, held on Monday, the 7th day of February, 1887.

THAT Sub-district 6 of the Featherston Road District, and the White Rock Station, containing 19,000 acres, and the Whaterangi Station, containing 27,000 acres, be formed a special rating district for the purposes of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,” and that a special rate of three-sixteenths of a penny in the pound be levied in such district, for the repayment of proposed loan of £2,000, for a bridge over the Ruamahunga River at Kahautara; and that Sub-district 5 of the Featherston Road District be formed a special rating district for the purposes of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,” and that a special rate of one-sixteenth of a penny in the pound be levied in such district, for the repayment of proposed loan of £500, for the formation, &c., of certain roads in such sub-district.

I certify that the above special order has been duly passed in conformity with “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886.”

THE following notices, received from the Chairman of the Mangawhero Road Board, County of Wanganui, are published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886.”

MANGAWHERO ROAD DISTRICT.—MATATARA SUBDIVISION.

RESULT of poll of ratepayers of the above subdivision, taken at the residence of Mr. John Cullinane, on Tuesday, the 8th day of February, 1887, for the proposal to borrow £200 under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886:”—

Number of votes recorded:—

For the proposal .. 2 ratepayers representing 6 votes.

Against the proposal .. Nil.

A majority in number of the ratepayers of the above subdivision having recorded their votes in favour of the proposal, and the number so voting being entitled to more than one-half in number of the votes which can be exercised by the whole number of ratepayers, I hereby declare the resolution in favour of the proposal duly carried.
