THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN exercise and pursuance of the powers vested in him by “The Cemeteries Act 1882 Amendment Act, 1885,” and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby delegate to the Council of the Waitemata County the powers conferred upon him by section six of “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” as to the appointment and removal of Trustees for the cemetery described in the Schedule hereto, and known as the Lucas Creek Cemetery; and doth declare that this Order in Council shall take effect as from the first day of March next.

LUCAS CREEK CEMETERY.

ALL that piece or parcel of land containing 5 acres, being Lot No. 106, Parish of Paremoremo, Waitemata Survey District, Provincial District of Auckland. Bounded on the North by a line, 1400 links; on the East by a road, 418 links; on the South by a line, 1682 links; and on the West by a road, 323 links.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this first day of February, 1887.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the first column of the Schedule hereto were reserved for municipal purposes: And whereas the said reserves are for one of the purposes named in Class I. of the Schedule to “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” and, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to exchange such reserves for other lands of equal value, to be dedicated to one or more of the purposes named in the said Class I.:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby order and direct that the reserves mentioned in the first column of the said Schedule hereto shall be exchanged for the land described in the second column of the said Schedule, and doth hereby declare and define the purposes of the said reserves specified in the second column of the said Schedule to be for municipal purposes, the same being one of the purposes named in Class I. of the Schedule to the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

Description and Purpose of Land intended to be exchanged. Description of Land exchanged therefor.
Section No. 1700 (in red), 3 roods 38 perches, more or less, in the Town of Arowhenua, Provincial District of Canterbury. For Provincial Government purposes. All that piece or parcel of land in the Town of Arowhenua, Provincial District of Canterbury, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being Section No. 2740 (in red), situate in the Arowhenua Survey District. Bounded towards the North by Sections Nos. 409 and 410 in the said town, 500 links; towards the East by John Street, 200 links; towards the West by Shaw Street, 200 links; and towards the South by Reserve No. 1706 (in red), 500 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Survey Office, Christchurch.
Section No. 1702 (in red), 1 acre, more or less, in the Town of Arowhenua, Provincial District of Canterbury. For Provincial Government purposes. All that piece or parcel of land in the Town of Arowhenua, Provincial District of Canterbury, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being Section No. 2741 (in red), situate in the Arowhenua Survey District. Bounded towards the North by Sections Nos. 351 and 352 in the said town, 500 links; towards the East by Guise Street, 200 links; towards the West by Maude Street, 200 links; and towards the South by Reserve No. 1705 (in red), 500 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Survey Office, Christchurch.

Addition to the Hamilton Recreation-ground brought under “The Public Domains Act, 1881.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this first day of February, 1887.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the twenty-fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby order and declare that the reserve made for public recreation in the Provincial District of Auckland, and known as a portion of the Hamilton Town Belt, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” and such domain shall hereafter be managed, administered, and dealt with, in manner directed by the said Act, by the Domain Board constituted by an Order in Council issued on the twentieth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-nine.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 18 acres 2 roods 24 perches, more or less, being Sections Nos. 8, 9, and 10 of the Hamilton West Town Belt. Bounded towards the North-east by a road-line, the crossing of a road 100 links wide, and a road-line, 2542 links; towards the South by a railway reserve, 919 links; towards the South-west by a road-line, the crossing of a road 100 links wide, and a road-line, 2177 links; and towards the North-west by a road-line, 841 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; save and excepting a road 100 links wide which intersects the area hereby described.
