Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance
and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the
above-named Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the
land described in the Schedule hereto is set apart for sale on
deferred payments; and that Wednesday, the twenty-fourth
day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six,
shall be the day on which the said land shall be open for appli-
cation, in allotments as surveyed and marked on the selection
map in the principal land office of the district.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this nineteenth
day of January, 1886.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him
by "The Public Works Act, 1882," and of all other
powers in anyway enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency
Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby
order that the Government work known as the Gisborne-
Opotiki Main Road deviation shall and may be constructed
on or through the parcels of land mentioned in the Schedule
hereto.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-
second day of January, 1886.

THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in me
by "The Public Works Act, 1882," and of all other
powers enabling me in that behalf, I, William Francis
Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zea-
land, do hereby, with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said colony, order that a road, having an
average width of one hundred links, and extending from the
Wharauroa Block, near Aotea Harbour, to and along the
shore of the said harbour and over the land adjacent thereto,
across the Peninsula to Kauwhia Harbour, along the shore of
Kauwhia Harbour and the land adjacent thereto, easterly
across the Oparau Stream past Hikurangi, and northerly
down the left bank of the Makuraru Stream and the Waipa
River past Whatiwhatihoe to Alexandra, shall be constructed
on or through land held or occupied by Native owners.
