Goldfields Notice.

Gold-mining Lease to be granted.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of "The Mines Act, 1877," and with the regulations made under that Act for the granting of leases for gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease of Crown lands for gold-mining purposes to the applicants specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against such lease.

Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and lodged with the Warden at Queenstown on or before the 8th day of January, 1887.

Copy of the application made and plan annexed may be seen at the Warden's Office at Queenstown.

SCHEDULE.

APPLICANTS: James Gilbert Johnston and Samuel Gower. Style under which it is intended to conduct the business: Johnston's Reef. 16 acres, at Upper Shotover, in the Wakatipu Mining District.

Land Transfer Act Notice.

NOTICE is hereby given that the parcel of land herein-after described will be brought under the provisions of "The Land Transfer Act, 1885," unless caveat be lodged forbidding the same within one month of the date of the gazetting of this notice.

Mining Notices.

I, the undersigned, hereby make application to register the United Devonshire Gold-mining Company as a Limited Company, under the provisions of "The Mining Companies Act, 1886."

  1. The name of the company is to be the United Devonshire Gold-mining Company (Limited).

  2. The place of intended operations is on the company's gold-mining lease, situated at Anderson's Hill Block (XIV.), in the County of Inangahua, in the Colony of New Zealand.

  3. The registered office of the company will be in Reefton.

  4. The capital of the company is six thousand pounds sterling, in thirty thousand shares of four shillings each.

  5. The number of shares subscribed for is thirty thousand, being the entire number of shares in the company.

  6. The number of shares paid up is nil.

  7. The amount of capital already paid up is nil.

  8. The name of the Manager is Henry George Hankin.
