I, the undersigned, hereby make application to register
the Josephine Gold-mining Company as a Limited
Company, under the provisions of “The Mining Companies
Act, 1886.”

  1. The name of the company is to be the Josephine Gold-
    mining Company (Limited).

  2. The place of operations is at Karangahake, in the Pro-
    vincial District of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand.

  3. The registered office of the company will be situated at
    the New Zealand Insurance Company’s Buildings, Auckland,
    in the Provincial District of Auckland and Colony of New
    Zealand.

  4. The nominal capital of the company is thirteen thou-
    sand five hundred pounds sterling, in twenty-seven thousand
    shares of ten shillings sterling each.

  5. The number of shares subscribed for is twenty-seven
    thousand, being the entire number of shares in the company.

  6. The number of paid-up shares is nil.

  7. The amount of capital already paid up is nil.

  8. The name of the Manager is Roderick McDonald Scott.

  9. The names and addresses and occupations of the share-
    holders, and the number of shares held by each at this date,

Private Advertisements.

I, Walter Hislop, of Dunedin, in the Provincial District
of Otago and Colony of New Zealand, Manager of the
Perpetual Trustees Estate and Agency Company of New
Zealand (Limited), do solemnly and sincerely declare—

  1. That the liability of the members is limited.

  2. That the capital of the company is £125,000, divided
    into 25,000 shares of £5 each.

  3. That the number of shares issued is 21,669.

  4. That calls to the amount of £1 2s. 6d. per share have
    been made, under which the sum of £24,377 12s. 6d. has been
    received.

  5. That the amount of all moneys received on account of
    estates under administration is £51 12s. 8d.

  6. That the amount of all moneys paid on account of
    estates under administration is £40 0s. 2d.

  7. That the amount of the balance held to the credit of
    estates under administration is £11 12s. 6d.

  8. That the liabilities of the company on the 1st day of
    November last were—Debts owing to sundry persons by the
    company on simple contracts, £8,356 15s. 5d.

  9. That the assets of the company on that day were—
    Bills of exchange and promissory notes, £77 3s. 6d.; cash at
    bankers, £1,048 11s. 3d.; other securities and moneys owing to
    the company, £11,905 19s. 3d.; other assets, £20,858 16s. 10d.
    And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously
    believing the same to be true, and by virtue of an Act of the
    General Assembly of New Zealand intituled “The Justices
    of the Peace Act, 1882.”
