THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Outram Road Board, County of Taieri, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886.”

OUTRAM ROAD DISTRICT.—Proposal to apply to the Government for a Loan of £3,000 for Road Formations in the above District.
A POLL was taken in the Henley Subdivision, on the 11th December, to determine for or against said proposal: 41 voters on the roll, and 80 votes. 20 voted for the proposal, recording 42 votes; and 21 did not vote. In the West Taieri Subdivision of said district a poll was taken on the 13th: 38 voters on the roll, and 85 votes. 14 voters recorded 36 votes for the proposal; 10 voters recorded 23 votes against the proposal; and 14 voters did not vote. There not being a majority for the proposal I therefore declare it rejected.

Notice of Proposed Loans, Waipipi Road District, County of Manukau.

THE following notices of proposed loans by the Waipipi Road Board, County of Manukau, are published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886.”

IN accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,” it is hereby notified that a poll of the ratepayers of that portion of the Waipipi Road District comprising Lots 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 10a, in the Parish of Waiuku West, that portion of the Village of Waiuku included in the Waipipi Road District, and that portion of the Parish of Waipipi south of the northern boundary-lines of Lots 45, 47, 49, 50, 51, 54, 56, 102, 118, 119, 120, 121, 121a, 125a, and 313, was taken on Tuesday, the 30th November, to decide whether the proposed loan of £200 should be raised or not. The total number of votes to which the said ratepayers are entitled is 50.
There were recorded in favour of the proposal 30 votes, and against the proposal no votes. I therefore declare the proposal to be carried.

The total number of votes to which the said ratepayers are entitled is 61.
There were recorded in favour of the proposal 32 votes, and against the proposal no votes. I therefore declare the proposal to be carried.

THE following notice of proposed loan by the Waiuku Road Board, County of Manukau, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886.”

IN accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,” it is hereby notified that a poll of the ratepayers of that portion of the Waiuku Road District south of the northern boundary-lines of Lots 3, 1, 2, 44, 43, 39, 38, 37, 77, 75, and 71, in the Parish of Waiuku East, was taken on Monday, the 29th November, to decide whether the proposed loan of £150 should be raised or not. The total number of votes to which the said ratepayers are entitled is 43.
There were recorded in favour of the proposal 21 votes, and against the proposal no votes. I therefore declare the proposal to be rejected.

SIR,—In accordance with section 145 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1876,” I herewith forward you the result of a poll of the burgesses of the Borough of Hastings, taken on the 3rd day of December, 1886, on the question of giving the Hastings Borough Council authority to borrow the sum of £25,000, inclusive of the sum of £20,000 previously authorized.
