PARTNERSHIP NOTICE.

NOTICE is hereby given that I, JOHN STONE, of Dunedin, Publisher, have admitted my son, JOHN STONE, Jun., into partnership with me, and that on and after the 1st day of January, 1887, the business will be carried on under the style or firm of “Stone, Son, and Co.,” at 79, Princes Street, Dunedin. NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership lately subsisting between us, the undersigned GEORGE BENNETT and JOHN AIKEN, carrying on business as Importers and General Merchants, at London and in New Zealand, under the style or firm of “Edwards, Bennett, and Co.,” has, as regards the New Zealand business, on the thirty-first July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, and, as regards the London business, on the thirtieth June, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, been dissolved by mutual consent so far as regards the said John Aiken, who retires from the firm. All debts due to or owing by the said late firm will be received and paid by the said George Bennett, who will continue the said business under the present style or firm of “Edwards, Bennett, and Co.”

As witness our hands this thirtieth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership lately subsisting between us, the undersigned GEORGE THOMAS BOOTH and RANALD MACDONALD, carrying on business as Manufacturers, Importers, and Dealers in Agricultural Machinery and Implements, and Ironfounders, at Christchurch, under the style or firm of “Booth, Macdonald, and Co.,” has been dissolved, as from the thirty-first day of May, 1886, by mutual consent, so far as regards the said Ranald Macdonald, who retires from the firm. All debts due to or owing by the said late firm will be received and paid by the said George Thomas Booth, who will continue the said business.

THE EGMONT SASH, DOOR, TIMBER, AND WOODWARE MANUFACTURING COMPANY (LIMITED).

NOTICE is hereby given that the Shareholders of the above-named company did, on Monday, the twenty-ninth day of November, 1886, at an extraordinary general meeting, confirm the following special resolution which was passed at an extraordinary general meeting of the said company held on the twenty-ninth day of October, 1886, viz.: “That, owing to the lack of support given to this company, the Directors take steps to forthwith wind the affairs of the company up voluntarily.”

Dated at Hawera, this second day of December, 1886.

A GENERAL Meeting of Shareholders will be held on the 15th January, 1887, at the office of the company, Patea, at 2 p.m.,—

To receive the Liquidators’ account in full;
To decide as to disposal of books and papers;
To receive payment of dividend;
And any other necessary business.

Shareholders at a distance are requested to appoint an agent, with authority to act for them in every respect and receive dividends; also to present certificates of shares, without which no dividend can be paid.

Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.

Advertisements are charged at the uniform rate of 6d. per line for each insertion.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

Booksellers and Advertising Agents will be allowed a commission at the rate of 5 per cent.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening in each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before two o’clock of the day preceding publication.

Communications should be addressed to the Government Printer, Wellington, to whom post office money orders should be made payable.

Postage or duty stamps cannot in any case be received in payment from any place at which post office orders are issued.

NO ADVERTISEMENT WILL BE INSERTED WITHOUT PREPAYMENT BEING MADE.
