limits of any borough or town district has been provided and has been prepared for the interment of the dead as required by “The Cemeteries Act, 1882:”
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the Colony of New Zealand, and in pursuance of the authorities vested in him by the said “Cemeteries Act, 1882,” doth hereby order and direct that, from and after the first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, burials within the cemetery in the Town District of Southbridge, described in the aforesaid Schedule, shall be wholly discontinued; and further that the said cemetery or burial-ground shall, from and after the said first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, be vested in the Church Property Trustees, as defined by “The Church Property Trust (Canterbury) Act, 1879,” under the provisions and for the purposes of the seventy-ninth section of the said “Cemeteries Act, 1882.”
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Canterbury, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 3 roods 30 perches, more or less, being part of Rural Sections Nos. 3344 and 4041, situate in the Town District of Southbridge, Southbridge Survey District. Bounded towards the North-west by Section No. 5861, 350 links; towards the South-west by Jollie’s Road, 555 links; towards the South-east by Hastings Street, 350 links; and towards the North-east by a line parallel to the south-west boundary, 555 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the Deeds Registry Office, Christchurch.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order that the Government work known as the Greymouth to Hokitika Railway shall and may be constructed on or through the parcel of land mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order that the Government work known as the Wellington-Napier Railway shall and may be constructed on or through the parcel of land mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

Altering a Proclamation.

WHEREAS in a certain Proclamation taking land for a portion of the Hurunui-Waitaki Railway, Weka Pass Section, published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 27 of 1881, an area of ten acres one rood sixteen perches of land, situate in the Waikari and Waipara Survey Districts, is stated by mistake to comprise, inter alia, a portion of Section No. 4594, while the section which was intended to be referred to was No. 4591: And whereas “The Special Powers and Contracts Act, 1886” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), makes provision for correcting the error above referred to, and for the issue of this warrant:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby direct the District Land Registrar at Christchurch to erase the words and figures “Section 4594” wherever they appear in the description of the said area in the Proclamation above referred to, or on the map referred to in the said Proclamation, and to substitute in lieu thereof “Section 4591” respectively.
And I do hereby further direct and empower the said District Land Registrar to release the said Section No. 4594 from the operation of the said Proclamation.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this first day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in the Governor by “The Public Health Act, 1876,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing vaccination district known as the Hawera District, constituted by warrant under my hand on the eighteenth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, and do declare that the boundaries of the Hawera District shall be coterminous with the boundaries of the marriage district bearing the same name, as it is set forth in a Proclamation of even date with this.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this third day of December, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six.
